Chapter 2

Crawling through a small sewer filled with refuse rats and spiders, Ricen
emerged upon some cobblestone back alley. Thinking quickly he found some
rags to cover and hide his naked glowing body. He walked to the edge of the
alley and peered around the corner.


I have no idea where I am, how I got here and why I am a child again. I
have got to get some shelter and think all this over. He thought to
himself.


What Ricen will discover over the next couple years of living on the streets
is that he was part of an experiment that had him ripped from the azure
fields and planted into the body of a child. These children were to be raised
and trained to be a powerful army of darkness. Apparently the very night he
was born again the Necromancer got what he wanted and the conjurer was
successful in bringing for an entity from the abyss. He over shot...he
brought a huge devil that immediately eviscerated the necromancer upon being
violently yanked from the abyss and not summoned. He slew the conjurer out of
spite and played around like a kitten with a mouse for a bit before doing so.


Over the years growing up on the streets Ricen found himself in many a fight
with local bullys. Not because he was being picked on but because he could
not stand the thought of someone being picked on for being smaller, or nicer
or even just for standing in the wrong place at the wrong time.Ricen was
not a good fighter but he was fairly proficient at talking bullys down or
even taking a beating so someone else didnt have to. He found he was
pretty good at healing up after a good beating due to his lightborn nature
from the azure plane.


When he was about 15 or so he came upon a small crested shield just laying in
the middle of the road through Hamsah MuTazz. He went to pick it up and
was stopped by two feet within his gaze, appearing next to the shield, as he
bent over. Do you like it? he heard a confident voice say. Ricen looked
up to find the local guildmaster standing over him with a dignified air.
Aye, that I do but I also like a good pint of ale and strong woman. I
thought if I sold it, I might get both. He said with a wink. The
guildmaster grinned ear to ear and said Why not come with me. Ill show
you how to use it to protect those who cant protect themselves. And I have
ale to spare. As for the women. We will talk about that after some training
and discipline.
