Chapter 11

In his limited travels Borkahd has learned of a goddess named Lady Yean. In
his quest to achieve mastery in all aspects of combat and war, to know true
strength, he has begun to pray to Her for guidance and blessings. He believes
that true strength can be found in mastery not only in combat but in all
aspects of war from the use of weapons to the benefit of intimidation and
knowledge of a foes weakness. It was hard for him to leave his home, and his
slaves, but he had the strength to begin this path and refuses to show the
weakness of surrender.

He lives his life by the One Law and will not accept failure nor simple
mastery. He will strive to hone his abilities for the rest of his life. There
will come a time when war and combat no longer require conscious thought but
will come as natural ability, like the simple act of breathing. In that, the
beauty of strength is found.
