Chapter 1

My childhood was the same as any other wood elf I suppose, playing in
the forests and natural places around my home. Spending time with my family
and other children my age. As an only child I was close with both my parents
and spend a lot of time under their watchful eyes. It was a day like any
other while we were out enjoying a morning meal when two travelers came upon
us. My parents were always carefree and welcoming and saw nothing wrong with
inviting them to join us for our meal. I finished rather quickly anxious to
return to playing in the woods with my friends. I returned hours later
already hungry again to find both my parents and the strangers missing, the
remaining food undisturbed. Confused I grabbed a quick bite to eat and made
my way back home looking for my family.
