Chapter 4

A very bored, red haired half-drow practially slept during the current
period of instruction given by a master within the guild of invokers.
This was easy for him, yet most students just couldn't understand how the
Quasi-Elemental planes worked. Keilan was surrounded by such stupidity!
It was simple lecture, yet they cannot even grasp that? They expect to
actually open a conduit to the plane, yet they cannot even comprehend
what it is? They would have been better left to the guild of
shapeshifting, such an easy and boring craft that was. His long, red
hair covering his blood-red eyes, he slowly drifted off, just barely
hearing the instructor, almost like a murmer.

He was startled awake by a loud blast, and looked up to see his desk
blackened, and sparking with electricity. That was it, he was done.
Keilan stood up, and just walked from the classroom, walked from the
tower, and continued on. Keilan decided he was too good for the tower,
and deserved more, better. He easily gained entrance into the
adventuring guild of invokers, and after a short time, had surpassed his
peers, although the few doing better than him, met untimely deaths which
no one could explain. The cold, merciless half-drow had killed his way
to the top, and was now about in the adventuring world, hungering for
more power, more knowledge
