"Jremulek has problems with the code," Kerruk continued, "he has an
undying fire that burns deep in his belly. He doesn't take the time to
contemplate his actions. His first instinct is always to charge into
battle, without thinking of the consequences. He is impatient, and does
not meditate well."

"Sounds a bit like me in my youth," Tangis chuckled, but then pursed his
lips closed when Kerruk shot him an appraising glance.

"Those were my thoughts exactly. He cares litltle for rules and law. A
few marks against him in regards to the Paladin Code we could live with,
but he's just too bloodthirsty. Don't get me wrong, he's a very kind and
gentle lad and would never harm someone who is innocent, he just doesn't
have the makeup for a priest."

"I assume this is where I fit into your little scheme," Tangis said
teasingly.

"Aye, it is, Tangis. We want you to train him, we would be foolish to
think that he has no place in the war against the Darkness. As you can
see, he will make a brilliant warrior."

"That shield does indeed look ridiculous in his hands," mused Tangis.

"Indeed."

"All right, I'll take him," Tangis said as he rubbed his hands together
in anticipation.

"Teach him well, Tangis. Remember, the war is not only about swordplay
and domination over the darkness. The battle goes beyond the clang of
steel. Be fair, but be firm as I know you can be."
