#3661, "About detect magic."


          

why is it that mages with this spell up can only see other mages aura's? Why can they not see a warriors or paladins even a healers?

The spell is called detect magic not detect mana. Paladins and warriors are not magical beings.

It works that way for the same reason it doesn't notice blessed items. Mage-y stuff and cleric-y stuff are entirely separate beasts. Also, a warrior's mana stat is largely a matter of non-magical mental energy (Rager powers use it, Berserk, etc.).

Ever been any ideas kicked around that would give a communer class a detect blessing/holy mana type deal......hmmmmmmm......might be a something to think about when you guys do the shaman revamp
