#16842, "Alas, all good things come to an end"

Well, I am out. Worked to play a stern, emotionless, scarred human paladin. he served the light I feel in many ways and followed where his heart and faith guided him.

Alnallander: I really gained a lot of respect for you after the dwarf trouble. You comprimised with me and did as Kalorian believed right. For that I always honored you and looked up to you. Keep the squires and all in order.

Vynmylak: Well, I tried to do the best I could. I really had troubles as you might have seen with playing times. As Fahnrore said, honor is not hard-coded in stone. I tried to roleplay a way of transistioning from what I was like as a teenager, to being a fifty-year old man. Times change and sometimes our eyes become more open. We went through some times, and I thank you for everything. I just didn't have the time or motiviation to stride as I was. I also think the exp bonus thing really does not work. After I think I quit or died, it seemed to continuelly leave. I did not honestly wish to face you a third time complaining about it. So I looked at it and tried to make a transition, which I guess failed miserably. Thanks for everything.

Calradian: Thank you for the induction into dawn. I knew from the beginning I would not be standing their all my life. Kal found trouble and stood the lines where needed. For all the servants who hated me for my voice and military works on the defense and seeing that it was a job of the MARAN, i was dissapointed. Kalorian just would not tolerate it. After all, his heart was that of a maran, not of the Kara Chal.

Noldruk: Well, I tried to state what Kalorian as a character felt about the governing of the spire. Not much came of it but kal voiced his opinion as seen fit.

Fortress:

Fahnrore: You got a lot real quick. Hold tight, and keep, I guess, everything running good. Tried to be the best scout about

Tarnyxil: You seem to be a strong leader. It is nice to have someone taking the ropes.

Marshall: Didn't see you much. Kalorian had always been real big on the defense and I sort of felt you didn't really make your presence know and hold the ropes of it as good as I expectide. You did seem solid though and I cannot say much. Stand true, strike swift.

Yaofhil: After being blown off by the Marshall really, I came to you and I guess you found something in me. I did what I could, and I served at the best I could. You were awesome and it sucks you left.

Elrys: I really did not agree a lot with you in the beginning, though I think those rough times wore away with time. Hold tight, stand true.

TRIBUNAL:

Farnsworth: You really did not seem to grasp the leader position and deal with the concerns of the people that great. When faced with a challange in perhaps rp politics, you just threatened to tell the immortals on me. What a shame.

SCION:

Trajeona: I think you are the only one worth mentioning. I spent some time with you talking(not sharing a beer) about your ways. The talks of power and the likes. Had fun while it lasted, but then you left.

I will post logs when I am ready.

Kal.

Yeah, Kalorian was tough for Elrys in the beginning, since their personalities didn't mesh well. I'll admit, I had serious doubts about you as an servant/acolyte, though you did always seem to be there and never shirk. What got on Elrys's nerves, way before she was the cardinal, was the way you ordered people around in the Fortress.

But after Kalorian got booted (before being readmitted) Elrys felt bad for thinking bad things about someone who had just lacked a little humility (in her opinion), and always was interested in seeing you do well after that. She often wanted to go and help you out, but she didn't want to offend your sense of honor (something we argued about in the beginning).

Kalorian actually contributed a lot to Elrys's present ideas on individual desires vs. the good of the Fortress.

As a player, I liked Kalorian. The way you treated mobs almost equally to PCs was very impressive and done better than I've ever managed and probably will ever manage to do. I never saw Kalorian slip in his role, and there were aspects of it that are tough things to pull off, but you did a solid job of it. Kudos.

Well, honestly, after the stunt I pulled at the fortress during my interview with you... I did not know whether I would get in or not. I knew what I was preaching and working towards was beyond what most players think. I really liked it when you asked me about my code. Kal understood ranks, but he did not see it as though his voice could not ring out. From dwarfs, to maran guard, to the knight, to whatever else.. I really tried to breathe life into mobs and work around them as being things... even though they cannot talk or any of the likes. This was my first attempt at a character that tried to hold the ropes and yelled at nearly everyone. I isn't me, but I won't say I didn't like it either. I actually enjoyed getting in arguements and maybe, on more than one occasion, I worked for them just to pass time away and see what the outcome would be. I do have severel logs of like the post-death during interview where I attempted to join the haven. Also the induction log with Calradian, and when You, that elf warrior, Alnallander and I when I had the ordeal about the dead dwarf at the fortress. If anyone cares, I can post them.

Hold in there.

Kal

You tell Farnsworth 'Hail, Provost. Might I ask who pays you their taxes? *monotoned*'

You tell Farnsworth 'Is it not the city who pays you?'

Farnsworth tells you 'Who are you to ask such a question'

You tell Farnsworth 'You shall see. *monotoned*'

Farnsworth tells you 'If you say so, servant.'

You tell Farnsworth 'Do you refuse to answer? *monotoned*'

Farnsworth tells you 'Spire business is not yours.'

You tell Farnsworth 'Actually, it does concern me greatly *monotoned*'

You tell Bouwlrin 'Might I ask, does the city pay you? *monotoned*'

Bouwlrin tells you 'Copper'

Bouwlrin tells you 'Yeh'

You tell Farnsworth 'So the city does pay you, your magistrate was kind enough to tell me. *monotoned*'

Farnsworth tells you 'Was there some confusion in my words? It is none of your business.'

You tell Farnsworth 'Provost, it does become my business when you fail to uphold your duty. *monotoned*'

Farnsworth tells you 'Spire business is none of yours. Cease your prattle.'

You tell Farnsworth 'Those who pay you, the baker, the citizens.. and your spire claims to hold justice for all, but leaves them vulnerable out of your protection? *monotoned*'

You tell Farnsworth 'Do you not care for such? *monotoned*'

Farnsworth tells you 'Are you still speaking? Were my words too large for you? It is none of your business and your speech is not welcome.'

You tell Farnsworth 'No wonder your spire is corrupt in their ways. Perhaps when new leadership comes, things will change. *monotoned*'

Farnsworth tells you 'You try even my patience, human. Go sit in your guild, as all of your kind do.'

You tell Farnsworth 'And sir, you hide behind the walls. *monotoned*'

Farnsworth tells you 'Brave words from a child. Hush, sleep.'

You tell Farnsworth 'You hide behind the guards of your city and privelage your power, when half of those guards are not even protect by your spire *monotoned*'

Farnsworth tells you 'Do not speak to me again, boy.'

You tell Farnsworth 'Do you fear me?'

Farnsworth tells you 'Which word did you not understand? Do not speak to me again, child.'

You tell Farnsworth 'I am twenty-three years old, provost. I am not simple boy, *monotoned*'

Farnsworth tells you 'Yes, you are. An adult would have understood my words. Do not talk to me.'

You tell Farnsworth 'A child hides behind reality and ignores that he does not want to hear. *monotoned*'

Farnsworth tells you 'Quiet. I will not say it again. If you continue I will inform the Gods. Do not let me hear your voice again.'

You tell Farnsworth 'You cannot deal with those who patition against you on your own? *monotoned*'

You tell Farnsworth 'You are irrational and without reason, yet call me a child? *monotoned*'

You tell Farnsworth 'Well? *monotoned*'

Farnsworth tells you 'Quiet, child, your betters are busy. Be silent.'

You tell Farnsworth 'You are afraid of reality and you refuse to open yours eyes and realize you may be wrong. You are the Provost. I expected more from you. *monotoned*'

Why would I want anything at all to do with a little kid who starts interrogating me? I really think people forget roleplay means they don't just look at what they want but look at the forest for the trees.

As I recall you were some teens level paladin. Maybe 20s? I'm not sure but think teens. In any event you don't say hello, you don't ask pardon for interrupting anything I might be doing, no, you just up and start interrogating me. I am a hero level evil shaman. I am the chief priest of a prominent religion. I am the leader of the entire Tribunal cabal. Do you really think I should start answering your questions? Even if none of the above were true and you were in fact a friend of mine, why would I tell non-tribunals the inner workings of how magistrates work and are paid? What right do you have to answers?

And then you begin insulting me, calling me corrupt. Since when does not answering someone's questions equal being corrupt? Just because I don't do what you want me to do, because I don't answer the questions you might have makes me corrupt? And then you say I fear you? It really all just smacked of someone wanting to come up with an excuse for later agression.

Maybe you think someone in his position should just kowtow to someone in your position. I didn't then and I don't think so now.

Right, you could not answer a simple question. I did not say you were corrupt because of not answering the quesiton, but rather with the concern you had. Noldruk, and other tribunals listened. You rather just said, "Shut-up" some leader... You were not busy btw, I checked in. You were busy sitting at market square with your bob and robert or whatever emoting while, "Farnsworth" sat in the "Spire only" section of market square.

So ya, where did you come up with that name anyhow? Its the last name for several ppl. I really lost a lot of any respect for you with such name. Could have been a little more original. But, hey, this isn't my place to quesiton either, is it?

Kal.

You really are missing the point. It doesn't matter whether the question was simple or complex. It doesn't matter whether I was busy or not - and by the way, you would have no idea whether I was busy or not. Just because all you saw was me standing in the market doing an emote or two doesn't mean I wasn't in 10 conversations and 4 investigations, etc. Play a Tribunal, you'll get a taste. And it doesn't matter whether I showed you 'concern', whatever that means.

You were a loud mouthed trash talking rude punk kid - literally a kid - who gave mouth to someone so far above his station it was absurd. And you didn't even ask nicely. You were supposedly a paladin but you just jump right into interrogations. You need to earn the privilege of answers. You don't get a right.

And not being "concerned" with your questions does not make someone corrupt. Seriously. You need to check your thinking.

As for the name, why exactly would you lose respect for me because of it? People aren't allowed to have normal names? Everyone has to be Gxgroqzythinxt? It's a perfectly legitimate and original name. Nobody else at cf ever had it as far as I know. And it was his first name, not his last. Jones was his last. Also a fine name. It's called being a regular person. It's called roleplay.

Whatever. I'm getting annoyed at you just writing this, so I'll stop.

Kal was a character who did not let this get pushes aside. you were busy you say dealing with peoples problems in tells and investigations... What kal was after was something similar. Maybe by reading Elry's post you might understand something a little more about Kal. I wasn't just an ass to you, but I worked my way all around . I don't say you were a bad character, cuz I do think you were awesome and had a lot. Really, when I was posting.. I was trying to post as being in the state of mind as Kal.. Which I guess I will never do again. Good luck, or whatever.

Kal

Jones baby....Jones....Farnsworth Jones!

That was a cool name. Great minds think alike. (Bruce Smith, I wanna try that one next for a evil chancellor of scion.)

Farnsworth right anyway. Why the hell should an evil shaman hero even bother talking to some punk paladin who is grilling him?

HA! That was me who whispered that.

Not that I was afraid to fight you, that was the whole point of being there, but we were rushing in without a plan. I hate going in without a plan, its just not the Gapverdi way and all.

And what happened is exactly why. We had the advantage with you unable too see us, and you were fighting. Then the assassin goes cowboy bebop and everything goes to hell. I wanted to wait for you to fight a bit more and get hurt some, use up that mana. Then trip you to death. Ah well, live and learn.

Always wondered why after that ye always made sure to ask how business at the Inn was though, I tried to kill you, figured you would be upset.

Ya, I had just fought you guys in Aturi about ten minutes earlier when i barely escaped as in the other log. I rested some and went out to see if I could knock one of you out. I realize now that I should have stayed in the battle and try and finish the other thief but really, I was afraid of losing my sword and shield again and nearly dying. Took the kills as they came and try not to risk dying. As to why I checked up with the Inn often was simply I was not going to hold you against me forever. After like the four or three of you stopped grouping, you never really hunted me. You seemed alright and I wasn't going to condemn you.
