Yeah, Kalorian was tough for Elrys in the beginning, since their personalities didn't mesh well. I'll admit, I had serious doubts about you as an servant/acolyte, though you did always seem to be there and never shirk. What got on Elrys's nerves, way before she was the cardinal, was the way you ordered people around in the Fortress.

But after Kalorian got booted (before being readmitted) Elrys felt bad for thinking bad things about someone who had just lacked a little humility (in her opinion), and always was interested in seeing you do well after that. She often wanted to go and help you out, but she didn't want to offend your sense of honor (something we argued about in the beginning).

Kalorian actually contributed a lot to Elrys's present ideas on individual desires vs. the good of the Fortress.

As a player, I liked Kalorian. The way you treated mobs almost equally to PCs was very impressive and done better than I've ever managed and probably will ever manage to do. I never saw Kalorian slip in his role, and there were aspects of it that are tough things to pull off, but you did a solid job of it. Kudos.
