Chapter 6

Days, weeks, months, even years have passed since his very being thrived at
the Father's entrusting. Jeede had stepped forward, ahead of the rest and
made clear his intentions to whisper Truth just as life was snuffed out.
Stark abolition, filled with the whisper of something more. This was how he
would teach those whom might awaken and incite realization to those beyond
understanding. As we destroy, so do we create.

The Eye crumpled to the ground before that which they strove to open. How
premature, and yet so theatrically fitting. Jeede watched the body stiffen,
age seeming to envelop it all at once in a sudden rush. Slowly be bent down
and placed his thin fingers upon the Eye's neck to feel nothing that had once
been there. Something fluttered above, the night filled with abnormal
shrieks, and Jeede rose quickly in silence to move next to the gate to watch.
They passed quickly, and it was his time to leave this place just the same.
Possible scenarios filtered through his thoughts as he slipped silently away.
The Eye has spoken of the Father's support in this plan, this is what Jeede
must confirm first.

Chapter 5

The softest noise echoed almost violently through the depths of the dark
mausoleum as Jeede moved quietly to the entrance. The Shadow had spoken to
him, seemingly from everywhere at once. He was to seek out an Elder of the
Temple and make his previous awakening evident to said Elder. His path
forward was obvious, but what had just transpire was all he could think
about. The Shadow, the Whisper, it was the Father! Though the Father did not
show himself, his very essence was palpable in the air and blessed was he who
fortunate enough to behold such.

From the very ground he rose, splitting the shadows and seeming to step into
reality in front of Jeede. They spoke at length of the Temple, and what each
man is within. The Eye confirmed much, and once he was granted entrance into
the Temple by the ever watching one, the ancient texts within confirmed even
more. This was the truth that he had always known though for much of his life
he stifled it behind a wall of lies and false dogma. Realization came with
the falling darkness from above what seemed like so long ago in Hamsah
Mu'tazz, and now certainty flooded through his being. The Father would not be
disappointed, and His truth would be spread to those whom slept.

Chapter 4

These visions shook Jeede greatly. He remember what his purpose had been,
though still not much more than the continued fighting of a few years passed.
He remembered arguing with his 'brothers' about the need to push beyond what
they considered righteous. Everyone must be willing to do everything and
anything to finish what they started. He remembered disgust at their lack of
conviction to the kill, how it drove him mad. There were times when he broke
things and wandered off on his own to stew in anger at their weakness.

All these thoughts swirled with the events of the past few weeks, since he
stirred awake to setting sun shining weakly through that stone temple.
Reaching up and rubbing the back of his head, where the pain was when he
woke. Rubbing that spot that he washed blood out of his hair from Jeede
realized that the shaking ground may have released him from what he had sworn
to. He was not the same person he was before, or perhaps that person was not
who he could truly be as that old self was locked behind a wall of precepts
that were not his. Had they ever been?

It was time to find himself, and he would go to any length he felt like to do
this.

Chapter 3

Many weeks passed, fights for survival and possessions, murder for food. He
did not relish these actions, though they didn't feel wrong. He would not
relish them because they were necessary to live, though at times his body
reveled in the rush of combat. How many times he tested himself to become
stronger and to eliminate those that would see him dead.

It was after one of these nearly fatal engagements, after he had taken what
he wanted from the still warm body. Jeede found a place to rest, closed his
eyes when he was sure no one had followed him, and fell asleep.

When Jeede woke it was jolting and sudden. Cold sweat covered his body,
making the cloth under his light armor stick to his skin. He had dreamt of
his past, of his fight against those they called the dark. He had seen
himself slinking through the shadows of Hamsah Mu'tazz, dagger in hand,
sliding into place behind an imperial priest. He was ready to strike and slay
the demon, and then the world shook. Jeede remembered looking behind him as
everything seemed to vibrate, remembered seeing a winged statue rise above
him as darkness fell from the ceiling. And that is when he was struck be
something falling from above, a loose stone perhaps.

Chapter 2

Time passed, fleeting memories returned though they largely created more
questions than they answered. His name was Jeede, of that he was sure, though
he didn't know where he came from or who Jeede really was. His physical
talents never seemed to have left, he was able to move silently, fight with
the agility of an elf and strike with precision that only years of training
could have given him. But none of this was a certain answer for who he was,
only a string of possible clues.

After time he attempted to enter each of the likely guildhalls, and found his
acceptance with the guild of assassin. They had his name on their roster, but
could tell him nothing about himself. Like all the rest of the guild of the
assassins, admittance isn't granted based on ones history or association only
on ones possible skill.

His dreams were varied, and at times they were filled with visions of
worship. Dreams showed him many things, light filtering about angels though
this was combined with pain. Robed men walking in line chanting while
carrying candles and books. Kneeling people surrounding golden altars, all of
them seeming combined into a joined communal congregation. A sense of
entitlement always seemed to fill Jeede when he had these dreams.

Chapter 1

The slow thrum of dull pain coalesced into a solid pressure of pure agony as
awareness swept across his consciousness. A haze of light filtered through
closed eyelids as pain eventually forced them to crack open. The sunlight cut
small rays of brilliance all around the large stone room. He forced himself
to move his head to take in the large stone statues around the temple, then
swooned from the effort as blackness rose to swallow him.

A soft ambiance, the evening setting sun, and chanting praises to someone he
couldn't quite make out. These are what he found when next he woke. Night was
almost here, he realized as thoughts of shelter and cover seemed to be the
only important things at that moment. Struggling to his feet, he fought of
swirling dizzyness as he took account of his surroundings and his situation.
He was in a large stone temple, statues of what must be dieties all about
him. Above him rose a large winged statue, the light of the settings sun
running along the floor up to the very foot of the statue but stopping there.
Shadow filtering down from the ceiling covered it's head so that he couldn't
quite make out the old weather worn features.

Sliding silently from dark patch to dark patch the man made his way through
the desert streets of a silent desert city. It was quickly growing colder,
and the need for protection from the elements was becoming necessary for
survival. All he had on him were the worn clothes and a makeshift blade made
from broken bone. He quickly found that it was increasingly easy to use his
talents of silence to find remote way into the back of the inn. Here he found
a small storage room to sleep in, until he could figure out who he was.
