Chapter 9

After many years, Gulrom has come to believe he is best at speaking to others, solving problems, aiding in different ways, and combat. Gulrom feels he has completed more than he thought possible in his life, and as of now he feels he has lead a
life of victory. Gulrom looks back and wishes he did not step down, he has not seen the new marshall yet, or his old friend Yentral in half a lifetime it feels.
If ever given the chance again, and allowed the lesser time at the Fortress by being at his village protecting it, he would surely lead again.

Chapter 8

Gulrom did not witness it, but a thief claims he was put to sleep by sanshia, revealed, and after singing more songs, sang the fiend.
Agilus was the thief, and Gulrom was told he was slain another time afterwards over stealing. Agilus claims he only took the sword to look at in the imperial lands and would have given it back. Gulrom believes that the thief means no real harm
Gulrom believes that the thief means no real harm in what he does, and does believe the thief was slain over theft. Gulrom believes this is a very big problem and under nearly any situation, it should never take place.
Gulrom has quietly watched the remaining members of the Fortress, and he believes some value items over life...

Chapter 7

After many years, Gulrom was given notice his village needed him and to save them, he knew he could not be in two places at once. Gulrom felt the Fortress was thriving and the darkness was all but next to gone now in the lands. He did not want
to not be there for the Fortress, when needed most. Gulrom stepped down, knowing the closest to his views and beliefs would lead well, Domond.
Gulrom wrote a letter, to his family, his lord Akresius, and the lords of the Fortress. He meant everything he wrote, and did not expect to come back from the village. After some time, he did come back.
The Fortress was still doing well, but Gulrom sensed something had made it's way in to the Fortress. A young scribe, took the life of a silver dragon for its possessions.
Gulrom had sensed greed and a wanting for many material items had made it's way in to the Fortress walls. It somehow infiltrated into some of his family. Gulrom did not say anything, but he kept his eyes and ears open.
Later, his brother Domond was no longer the Marshall...It saddened Gulrom greatly, and Domond told him only what took place.. Gulrom told many times to all, be careful what you hunt, how you hunt, do not become what you hunt.
Domond pursued a balanced soul...


The Fortress began to spiral down, in Gulroms view after that, the numbers of his family, and who he saw awake.

Chapter 6

There was a time when darkness surrounded the world and closed in, Gulrom stood tall, raised his sword, and shouted about the power of the light. Gulrom would wake only to be surrounded by the forces of evil.
His old friend Xigion, the arial of the village lost the head, and a lich, and six other imperials were about. Gulrom scouted ahead and struck, he finished the vanquisher. As time went on, Gulrom was approached by many young ones and told how
they sought to become squires, what gulrom once dreamed of had begun to happen, the light was thriving and growing from small candles of light.
As time progressed, more and more sought out Gulrom, telling him about themselves and how they dedicated themselves to standing near the taint, so the innocent would not need do it.
One day, Gulrom was a squire, and after taking the codex was made in to a full fledged Maran. Later that same day, the watcher spoke to him, and he was made the Marshall of the Fortress.
It was very unexpected, and Gulrom feared of failing all of the Fortress. He had ideas and beliefs, but did not know how to be a marshall..
There was no true book made for it, he followed the books within the fortress, his paladin code and his lords teachings to guide him. Time passes and the Fortress was now very full, the darkness nearly gone from the lands. A major victory and
a day that Gulrom never thought he would live to see. The Fortress had young and older, scribes, squires, Maran and Acolytes.

Chapter 5

One day a beautiful and fierce, crimson winged angel was seen above gulroms head. They spoke about a great many things, and gulrom was told his lord would be watching him. When the day comes, approach his temple, bring an item that
represents himself, sacrifice it and pray to lord Akresius. He was told that his lord would be watching.

Chapter 4

As Gulrom grew older, he grew more well versed in who he fought, and the tactics to use. It maybe took him a few times, but once he saw the weakness he could exploit, he did exactly that.
It has been painful, bloody, and at times very tough. Every moment he learns more and becomes a better priest and dwarf. Failures have been a lesson to him, which he has grown stronger from in faith, mind, and body.
Over the years Gulrom has discovered ways to battle, defeat, or fend off those who seek to kill the innocent, and those who want to dance.
He has become well versed in how they think, and plans for it, knowing his opponent.
His findings and tactics he uses.

Drow,half-elf, human - Usually he uses divine, minotaur - divine or light, Felar - fire , fire giant - cold,frost giant - fire, arial - lightning, cloud giant - divine, dwarves - spear/knife hands, but usally he uses divine,
undead - divine,light,fire, svirf/gnome - hands, Orc - light/Divine, Duergar - divine/light.

Second He anticipates depending on who they are.
Necromancers, Anti paladins - Sleep, energy drain, forget, crimson scourge, Orcs - bash,Bards - Sleep, Transmuters -
Neurological disruption, Warriors - axe spec- pincer, sword spec - flurry, mace spec - cranial, dagger spec- He usually only
anticipates bash with them, polearm spec - charge then chop/cutoff, hand spec - pummel, crushing blow, whip spec - entwine.
Rangers - Depending on terrain. Mountains -Bearcharge, the others he anticipates ambush only.
Shapeshifters - He anticipates depending on form,conjurers - warp dimension, magic missle,shaman - dispel magic, energy drain
assassin - assassinate, owaza
thief - backstab, knife, the others he has not had a problem with, druid - spores, thorn heart.

Third Where is the battle taking place? Are there areas to summon and use the terrain as a weapon.
Locking them in a room, fighting in a no magic area, fighting them out of where they want to be.

Fourth Who is hidden nearby, or on the way to assist against Gulrom?
A healer who shows up to sanctify and heal the opponent - light of heaven used against the healer/opponent. Expecting to be cursed and ready to remove it and word if needed.
Carrying potions to escape from being forgotten. Staying flying to avoid being tripped.

Chapter 3

Gulrom has a fire in his soul which drives him in to deadly places. He views it being needed to become a master of his faith and profession.
He tries very hard to live up to his paladin code.
Gulrom also keeps to his lords teachings, he shows no anger from winning or losing battles.
Adira tried very hard to make Gulrom show anger and lose his temper, which failed. Gulrom was cool and collected.
Gulrom shows respect to even ones he seeks to destroy, the darkest of dark hearts.
Through his failures he has become a better priest and dwarf. He is becomming honed and sharper.
He feels very minor frustration at times, when those he hunts escapes or he falls in dangerous situations. He knows he must try harder to be what he strives to be, which is the mortal hand of Akresius.
Gulrom thinks of his time at the temple and afterwards when he was left disfigured and homeless when he sees beggars and orphans. It pushes him to be better for others and his lord.
Gulrom drinks ale at times. He swears very mildly at times.
Gulrom doesn't want to rescue his allies all the time, he feels they will be dependant on help all the time, which will make them weaker and fall prey to being a victim. He rescues and engages in battles in place of them, when needed.
Gulrom no longer has pain from being disfigured, though his wounds remain,
Xigon the arial warrior of the battleragers is what he considers his friend. They fell together a few times while advancing in very dangerous places, for many years.
His lord Akresius sent gulrom on a task, to return after standing in victory over another. Gulrom nearly had Worthag. Worthag told Gulrom how clever he is.
Gulrom views the most dangerous he has met thus far as in order.

Chapter 2

He was horribly disfigured, and has no hair, only burnt flesh and scars.
He was left partially blind from the acid and fire.
His hearing has become much like his eyesight.
He is driven to see all evil from the land, driven back to hell.

Chapter 1

Gulrom was born in a mountain named Dragon mountain, his parents were great warriors of his home. Gulrom was raised to follow the god of Akresius the teachings given to him.
His parents taught the young dwarf of staying calm, even when afraid and fearful of the unknown. He would fight his father at the earliest age he could remember, but it was a game to him.
Little did Gulrom know he was being taught to fight and to be calm for a reason. Gulroms father taught him that anger and rage only clouds your mind and distracts you. Errors and mistakes happen when distracted.
Gulrom was sent to monk school, because his parents knew the anger and rage that could come out, needed to be focused.
While in monk school Gulrom met some friends, a elf who studied the ways of the paladin guild, and a storm giant who studied to become a shaman.
They became good friends and kept each other out of trouble, until one night....

You wake to the smell of smoke!

Looking around you see flames and hear the screams of the other children. Help us! they cried out in profound agony!
Blasted hells, you muttered, your eyes become bloodshot!

Obvious exits: None
Looking at the doorway engulfed in flames, you grab your short beard and charge it!
You manage to run past the flames, only to be caught on fire!
Blasted hells!
You fall to the ground and roll around to put the fire out!

Help us! Gulrom!!!
You yell, Where in the hells are you!?

You run to the main room and the children are huddled there.
Gulrom, all of the adults are dead! The Empire has come!

You look at the doorway and see a small army emerge.
You tell your friends to stay back.

Your friend, bathi the storm giant, steps forward.
Your friend Adora the elf steps forward.
You nod and grit your teeth.
Before you know what happened, Acid engulfs the room, covering all of the orphans, your friends, and you!

The acid begins to eat holes into flesh. You look around in horror while you are burned alive.
All of your friends have died!

Your eyesight becomes cloudy from the acid.
You reach out and clasp the hands of your dead friends. The storm and Elf Bathi and Adora.

You begin to pray for your friends and the children. You pray for help to fight!

You look towards the Empire as your vision begins to fade, the last thing you say to them is,
Ah' Will avenge you all! Ah' Will fight tha darkness until no more!
A dark chuckling can be heard as you ...ZZzzZzzzzz. Passout.

You awake unable to move and barely able to see.
Your bones have all been broken, your flesh devoured by acid, your hair burnt to nothing.
..How..did you survive??
You hear a womans voice in your mind, she tells you journey and find the Lord Akresius.

Before leaving you she informs you that you managed to kill ten Imperials.
