Darkness all around.

There was a time when darkness surrounded the world and closed in, Gulrom stood tall, raised his sword, and shouted about the power of the light. Gulrom would wake only to be surrounded by the forces of evil.
His old friend Xigion, the arial of the village lost the head, and a lich, and six other imperials were about. Gulrom scouted ahead and struck, he finished the vanquisher. As time went on, Gulrom was approached by many young ones and told how
they sought to become squires, what gulrom once dreamed of had begun to happen, the light was thriving and growing from small candles of light.
As time progressed, more and more sought out Gulrom, telling him about themselves and how they dedicated themselves to standing near the taint, so the innocent would not need do it.
One day, Gulrom was a squire, and after taking the codex was made in to a full fledged Maran. Later that same day, the watcher spoke to him, and he was made the Marshall of the Fortress.
It was very unexpected, and Gulrom feared of failing all of the Fortress. He had ideas and beliefs, but did not know how to be a marshall..
There was no true book made for it, he followed the books within the fortress, his paladin code and his lords teachings to guide him. Time passes and the Fortress was now very full, the darkness nearly gone from the lands. A major victory and
a day that Gulrom never thought he would live to see. The Fortress had young and older, scribes, squires, Maran and Acolytes.
