Chapter 1

Relfina grew up in Voralian to an elven ambassador father who was born
in Darsalyn. While in his work, he fell in love with a human woman from
Voralian. Relfina's father was a student of the arcane arts and was quite
proficient in his work, which is where Relfina obtained her talent and
understanding in magic.

As Relfina grew older, her love for magic drifted to the invocation of
elemental magic. Studying harder, and even studying vigorously at the High
tower of Sorcery from time to time. This helped her define her magic quite
a bit, but yet there is always still so much to learn. She became friends
with a few of the classmates in the tower, and one thing they shared was
their love for magic. This actually became such a staple to her, that she
prayed to Twist, the god of Magic, and followed his teachings.

While away in her studies, her father had to make a trip back to Darsalyn
to report on their progress. The elves are quite the proud race, and keeping
relations with the other races who harbored the light was part of his duty.
on the way back, the convoy was attacked and many died, but luckily the
attackers were bested, and her father had minor injuries. Relfina did
not get word of this until after her time at the tower was completed. It was
quite a traumatic experience to learn of this, but it formulated a cause in her
heart, that would lead her to seek the Fortress of Light, wielding her magic
in offense towards those who would attempt such evil acts.

This desire did not set well with Relfina's parents, as they didn't want her
to fight on the front lines, but one thing her Parents realized was that
Relfina was quite a determined child and once her mind is set, there is no
telling her no. Another reason for her wishes to join the Fortress, which she
found more dark and sinister, was the perversion of magic from the wicked souls
in the High tower of sorcery. She did not like the necromantic arts, or the
testing of the upper classmates, conjuring demons, studying fresh corpses with
transmutation, or necromancy. The very thought of this made Relfina feel repulsed
and wished to make a stand to bring magic back to the light.
