Chapter 2

Deep in study of my elemental magic, I practiced and practiced one day,
till I became so exhausted that I drifted into unconsciousness.

Sitting in a classroom with other invokers, the instructor walks in.
Class begins as normal and the basic studies of invocation continues.
Elements, para-elements, and uses are gone over in the class. Something was
off about this day, or that's how I felt in the dream.

Time felt as if it were passing at a snails pace, and out the corner of my
eye, I noticed in the hallway a group of students walking by in dark robes.
I knew the tower practiced varied magics, and even though I didn't agree
with it, I knew there were students of demonic conjuration and necromancy.
What I saw was them carrying a corpse of that which looked like an elf.
A heart wrenching feeling pained me when I noticed this, yet I felt as if I
could not do anything about it, at the time, as I were but a novice in my
my magic, while their auras glowed with enormous magical power.

I hated this feeling, feeling as if I could not accomplish anything in that
moment. I woke up realizing that this was more than a dream, but a
relived memory through a dream. Because of this, my feelings began to
emerge for wanting to do something about it. This is where I began to seek
my journey towards the Fortress of light, and only confirmed such after the
incident with my father.

This dream made me more determined to continue my work towards the future
so that I could do what I could for those that needed my aid, and fight
back at those who would commit such heinous acts.
