Well Diary, it's been awhile, I moved cell and lost access to the book
hideout. Reading back through the entries gives me tears as it makes
me think of my sister. My last entry was over 10 years ago now, I am
no longer a child. My sister was killed last year by the Matron mother of
the first house as a sacrifice to appease some rubbish. For months I
was filled with despair, but now it's just hatred. Hatred for the dark-elf.
The day is coming, I will make my escape. If this is my last entry
Then I am successful.

If I was human, what a life wasted, fortunately elves long a long time
and at 110 years old, I am still quite young. This is what I tell
myself. So i dug up this stupid book again, maybe it's a curse, if I
write in it, my doom to live here remains. So many escape attempts.
Most of my years have been spent in a prison cell, for a decade, then
back to work, a failed escape attempt, rinse and repeat.
When will this madness end. Maybe I should end it myself.

To say I am excited would not be overstating the fact. My friend
Calen, the half-elf smuggled in a treasure for me on a recent shipment.
He gave me this treasure, as Calen is now too old to make use of it.
It was amazing, unwrapping the cloth revealed the shiniest metal I
have ever seen. It was the most beautiful dagger, it's blade made of
pure mithril. Adorned at the handle were three gems. For days I
have been fanaticizing about thrusting this dagger in to the chest of
every Drow I see. I even thought about the Elzaress prophecy as I
I gripped the dagger tightly. Yes I thought, the time is now.

Today I saw the sun rise for the first time in 100 years. It was at
first blinding, it took my eyes time to adjust. The beautiful light
reflected off the Voralian tears, with shades of yellow, blue and
orange. Last night was the perfect timing, I determined that there
were only 4 Drow blocking my escape. I waited for my time and
and walked up to the first and stabbed him in the back. Another
came running, I parried his long sword and struck the mithril
dagger right in to his heart, he died instantly. To my amazement
the other two Drow fled down the corridor. It was too easy.
The Underdark was scary without escort, one cavefisher did
charge me, but I managed to flee. I made it to path outside, still
night, by the time of the sun appearance, I made it to the tears.
Escape, yes I have escaped!
