Chapter 4

Rockeano had gained the support of his fellow thieves, and through this
support he was voted to hold the responsibilities of Kingpin. His years
watching Jack lead the Arkham crime family had prepared him for the task, and
he was able to reinvent the Galadon market. Rockeano appreciated the network
of thieves that had helped him reassume and surpass his previous fortunes.
Amassing a tremendous wealth from his new position, he gave back to his guild
via guidance and support to those with less natural talent. The guild would
double in its size and influence under his leadership as did his flaming ego.
Established once again, he began heading north to the Inn of the Eternal
Star frequently in order to vainly flaunt his stature amongst Theras most
notable people.

It was at the Eternal Star that Rockeano would meet a performer named
Maehayla, her talent and charisma rivaled his. She was the High Herald of
the Inn and quite the showman. Rockeano appreciated her stories, exotic
dancing, and pizzazz. Rockeano would mingle, gamble, and blatantly set up
shop in her Inn and in the beginning this often led to disagreement between
the two. Rockeano had a brazen style about him which upset several of her
crew unfolding the eventual dismal of one very angry Scribe. After many long
nights of working the patrons, the two would find themselves alone in
conversation when the crowds would disperse. Maehayla encouraged Rockeano
to pursue his artist talents and offered him an opportunity to join the cast of
the Herald. He reveled in this chance to shine as a Decorator as he would
finally be able to take credit for his talents. Rockeano would no longer
have to table fakes, instead now he could display his own masterpieces
recognized and accredited by the world. With this chance to deliver true art
to the masses, he put his essence into form and proudly unveiled the Gusto
originals.
