Chapter 3

It was a cold and foggy morning when Rockeano prepared to board the ship for
the mainland. As he walked the docks to leave behind the small town, the
weather combined with the gravity of the moment caused Rockeano to remember
his past. He recalled the night he fought with his father when he left his
hometown, he imagined the way his estranged mother would sit and comb her
beautiful hair when he was a child, and he longed for the excitement of noble
parties filled with expensive culture. He had spent years in Arkham
developing into a mature business man, and dressed in his finest attire he
set sail with aspirations. Off to make his mark in the bustling city of
Galadon, Rockeano had big plans to expand his marketing frontier. Having
dealt with wandering rogues and merchants from Galadon, he conceived it the
perfect opportunity for him to emerge the premier dealer of high end
merchandise.

Rockeano was surprised at first with the diversity of his new environment.
He worked hard to establish himself, but was not generating the wealth he had
anticipated. His desires to be seen in prestige fashion were bleeding out
his reserves of gold and precious jewelry at an unsustainable rate. He had
joined the guild of Galadon, and paid in large amounts of his wealth to be
seen as Elite among his new peers leaving him desperate for a solution.
Rockeano spent most of his time working the market from within the guild and
discussing with Glinar scams and historical heists. Rockeano took particular
interest in the concept of counterfeiting fine art and merchandise from his new
guildmaster. In the past he had made his fortune by authenticating precious
artifacts, able to appreciate fine artistry and set their market value, but
now he had a new plan. Understanding the intricacies of these works of art, he
studied under Glinar to replicate famous pieces. His newfound techniques and
style flourished his creative side, and soon he was not only creating
undetectable knock offs for the market, but he was also creating his own
designs. Profiting again from the market, he had become the man to see in
Galadon for anything of value.
