Chapter 3

22nd of the Month of the Frost Giant in the year 1990

I've come to miss the simpler days of studying the dead within my mother's
practice. As much as I do love my work in the Black Sect, simpler times do
call for me. Perhaps I'll take a part-time job in the Arkham Cathedral.

My work proceeds nicely, if not imperfect. Each work of art I create, each
monument to true order... I am happy with, but i feel like something is
lacking. Perhaps as Kregan once told me, an artist always views
imperfections.

The emperor is a true man of order and someone I pay a great deal of
attention to when able. Even though he is a blade he exercises etiquette and
class in all situations i've seen him in.

The Dread Lady, as beautiful as she is seems to have been reclusive in her
old age. She is powerful and wise yes, but she lacks life in her personality.
Ah I amuse myself.

The Black Sect has a strong foundation to it. I enjoy my comrades and look
forward to the day which the title of Dread Lord is upon me. I've inspired
fear in the death i've wrought in Thera. Though I do hope one day they will
appreciate my efforts.

For now, i'll continue my work while I ponder about the becoming. I've
discovered knowledge of the wight, the mummy, and lich. Though I've heard
whispers of Vampirism and the form of a wraith.

I'll investigate further.
