Chapter 3

Sivane left the village at age 16 and soon found his way
to Hamsah. After spending a couple months there he
located a guild called the invokers guild. The member of
the local guild taught him some basics but the
guildmaster was not impressed with Sivane because he
did not look civilized and was very primitive. Sivane had
arrived in the early fall when activity was busy and
commerce was high. By the time winter rolled around,
Sivane noticed a change in the people and the city. The
winter crippled them. Sivane found he loved the winter
and why not since the spirit of ice was within him.
Everyone else in Hamsah however hated the cold.
Sivane was starting to learn that nature could cripple
civilization as civilization was weak. In particular, ice
and the cold brought civilization to its knees. Sivane
soon lusts for the destruction of civilization to teach
them to not be weak.Sivane left Hamsah at the end of
the winter and went down a long road until he arrived
at a place called Galadon. Galadon proved to be the
same as Hamsah. After spending one year in Galadon
he left again, still not finding those to aid him in his
craft. He traveled north this time and discovered no
better luck in Vorilian and Tir-Talith. Things start to pick
up in the arial city of AyrTrinil and Cragstone. Both
Abiqa and Zakinn could sense something about him and
said he had a slight affinity for air magic and earth magic
respectively. Abiqa and Zakinn said Sivane was
certainly not all powerful in air and earth magic, but
they did train Sivane in each of their specialties to an
average affinity. They also informed Sivane that he
needed to visit the northern mountains, west and north
of Udgaard. The guildmaster told Sivane of an invoker
that could further train him. This invoker of the north
was very proficient in ice and water. The guildmaster
felt Sivane and the Spirit of Ice would do well there.
Sivane ventured north and after searching for a long
while, finally found Juritala in the northern
mountains. Juritala could sense
something different about Sivane the moment she met
him. Sivane trained with the Juritala
for 2 years. Sivane proved to have a very
high affinity for ice and water given the spirit. After 2
years, Sivane left again to learn more of this lands.
Sivane never did find anyone to train him properly in
fire, ooze, or lightning magics. Sivane did not however
want to abandon those types of magic, so he taught
himself these three magics and developed a very basic
affinity for them. The learning goes slow in these three
magics, but Sivane is very smart and will master these
magics as well. Sivane is no quitter and lusts after
learning like he does most things in life, so doing
without was never an option. Sivane is very ambitious
and gets what he wants, one way or the other never
conforming to society or pressure from outside influences.
