Chapter 2

The three brothers walked through the fire giant camp, being escorted by several fire
giant guards, dressed in uniform. It seemed the emissary was an important member of the
Nacktin-Rah family from Mount Kiadana-Rah, and a powerful dark paladin.

Inside of the emissary's tent Manno stood in the background as he listened to the
emissary explain how a valuable jewel had been taken from Lady Kiadana-Rah and they
had tracked the thief to these mountains. The fire giants did not care about the feud
between the cloud giants and Udgaardians and were soliciting help from both sides to try
to find the thief in these mountains. They would pay handsomely for use of cloud giant
scouts and word of any unusual people in the areas. As the discussions went on Manno
caught the eye of a beautiful fire giant female standing to the side of the emissary. She
was much younger than the emissary so it was unlikely she was his woman. Manno
didn't care if she was or not. He was awestruck by her exotic beauty and couldn't keep
his eyes off of her. He knew at that moment that he had to have this woman.

Later that night, Manno could hardly sleep in his tent. All he could think about was Sana.
That was her name, he had been introduced to her when the meeting was over and had a
chance to make some small talk with her. It seemed that the emissary was her father.
Sana was a strong woman and he could tell that there was a dark side to her, a fire giant
no doubt. But, something about her was too alluring. It was if she were forbidden, which
in all honesty she was, and it made him want her even more. Manno didn't care though.
In fact, he volunteered himself as a scout to the giants so that he might get a chance to be
around her more.

Over the next two months Manno got what he wanted. Sana was delightfully devilish and
Manno couldn't get enough. She had taken to him as well and a strong relationship had
formed. They were spending more and more time with each other on searching trips
through the mountains. Manno began to hope that they never found the man they looked
for so that this time would last forever. Sana had explained to Manno that what they were
doing was forbidden and they had to keep it secret. Manno was trying to convince Sana
to run off with him into the world, but, she was committed to her duties and training as a
dark wizard and knew that one day she would have to return to Kiadana. Sadly, Mannos
attempts to come up with a plan to make this relationship last were cut short.
