Kornuel started to feel that something is wrong this present War Master from
early days of his life in Empire. The more he served Empire the more this
feeling grow. He was sure his strenght and faith would be noticed by Kostyan,
but it took much more time than he could imagine to reach the Elite position
- he reached the highest rank in his guild even earlier. More than that this
position was granted him not because of his attitude to serving the Empire,
defeating numerous of its enemies but for payment of 200 gold. That was first
ring. That showed that War Master still staying strong warrior became lazy
just to collect abit of money and reward his Blade for his servitude. Strong
leader don't do that just because that breaks the morale of those whome he
lead.

The hole situation in the Sect is quiet strange. Exept of War Master himself
there is just no realy strong warriors. The politic with promoting is just
unclean. On one hand such weak persons like Horkampz who fills the Thera with
his corpses thus increasing the respect to Blade Sect or such a useless
ministrel Sasha get the Elite position (and quiet sure for free). On other
Kornuel or Dashmiri who proved their strenght and attitude to the Conquest
hold basic position in the Sect during a long period of time.

And THAT happens. Kornuel have gotten the demotion. And why? Let's see the
whole situation. So the Fortress holds Codex. During some time Kornuel stays
alone against three paladins and elven transmuter with just no chances to
retrive. Then Dashmiri and Horkampz awakens. Three Blades decide to gather at
the Inn of Eternal Star to make a shot on the Fortress. At that moment War
Master awakens and order all of them come to the Sect Hall there he continues
to waste their and his time asking pointless questions. After that he calls
all other citizens to gather in the same Inn.
All Blades leave the palace and move towards meeting place. Worth of mention
that here no order like "Stick togeter, team." wasn't done. On Eastern road
group meets scion betrayal Zhoraz. Quick fight happens at crossroads and
shifter runs. Kornuel chases him just some steps north and thus leave the
group. He explains that he would wait others in the meeting place. He comes
there and as noone else have arrived decides to scout around abit and on
Sumner crossroad he meets two more scions. His lullaby makes them sleep.
Other Blades arives, but Zhoraz arives to help his mates and falls asleep
aswell. As result two Scions die to their nightmares, citizens proceed to
Fortress, retrieve Codex killing two of four defenders in the process.
The victory and celebration? No. Kostyan leads blades to the Palace and there
demotes Kornuel for not following his orders and breaking the discipline,
explaining that the aim was just to retrieve Codex and so leaving the group
was against his order. But if the aim was to get the Codex back it was just
nessesary to kick Scions off. They knew that Empire lost Codex, they scouted
the area before Fortress in hope to catch citizens unguarded, if they were
not stoped the retrive could went just other way. So for Kornuel it was just
clear that eaither War Master is stupid or more likely he just lied hiding
the real reason of demoting.
