Chapter 1

Crouching down low to avoid as much of the wind as he can he still keeps his
eyes on the group making it's way through the Frigid Wasteland. Sooner or
later someone will get lost or just drop behind long enough for them to be
unseen by the others. At last there is on dropping behind giving Beobj his
opportunity. Keeping low he zooms in on the now lone traveller pulling out
his knife. His strike is met with the resounding clang of meeting metal.
Looking down with surprise he finds that the lone traveller is no traveller
at all but instead a fully armoured guard. Chocked and now with fear in his
mind he tries to get away but is caught on the back of the head by something
and all goes black.

Waking up with a thrubbing head Beobj find himself bound and in the back of
a cart. The person driving the cart looks around and grins.
- So your awake, well we shall see if that hit made you dumber or smarter.
He turns around and after a wile the cart runs through a large gate and
finally comes to a stop in a court of some kind. The sound of fighting echoing
between the walls. The man on the cart speaks to a man that approached from
the house.
- Found this one trying to put his dagger through my heart. He doesn't have
much strength but seems to be a feisty little kitten
- This isn't a shelter for lost kittens Arumasth. Take him to the orphanage
I'm sure they have room for more."
- And let him be trained by Thrym and become one of them thick headed haters
of magic? No thank you very much. I didn't drag him all this way to have him
become one of them. This one needs to join this guild just as much, if not
more then I did, Erland. Under your watchful eye and training he might become good
enough to join the guards watch one day.
Erland shrugs and mutters to him self I'm to kind for my own good
- I don't remember you being kind all those times you used that poke of yours
on my hind.
Erland chuckles.
- I didn't say I was soft. I said I was kind. And as I recall you earned each
and every one of them thrashings. alright I will take him but ones he knows what
end is up on the weapon he will be sent to your barrack and become your
responsibility.
Arumasth walks back and lifts Beobj of the cart and unties him.
- ARG! -Thump- Now cut that out.
Erland chuckles seeing Arumast holding the kitten in one hand and sucking his
finger on the other. I see what you mean with feisty.
Arumasth mutters Now you listen here kitten. This here is Erland, leader of
the guild and he will treat you fare and train you hard. Listen and do what he
tells you and you will have a good live here. Disobey and he will make your
life a living hell.
Erland take Beobj by the neck with grip firm as steel in and leads him into
the building.

Ahead lay long days and lots of sweat. Beobj did alright and didn't get more
been missing.
