Chapter 7

It has been a rough ride and the sunwardan have done his best to keep it from
happening. But finally Beobj has reached hero status with in his guild!

Looking back he can see many mistakes done. And he will try to improve on them.
Finding the againParagon to continue his learning is still something he hasn't
yet managed and where he hopes to improve.

After some discrete questions it has come to Beobj that his raising was not
done by the War master nor the Emperor. A Immortal most have seen his work
and gotten impressed, the question is who? Do Beobj have a patron after all?
But as always his hunger for more drives him. This time he has to be even
more cunning to get the War Master to show his plot for Throne.

The new Emperor Merf has told him that if he keeps his presence and current
good work up he would be promoted. Having lived long in the corridors of the
palace has however learnt Beobj that the word of some break easy when put
to the test.

Chapter 6

Beobj found the shrine of Ysaloerye. She was preoccupied with the Drillmaster
of battle. But he was asked to study the way of the masons and blacksmiths
and try to figure out how the paths differs.
His formal ways calling her MyLady and bowing to her was meet with laughter.
The Paragon seems to be a joyful immortal. He most remember this for their
further meetings.

Chapter 5

Beobj has always wanted more. Whether it be food, drink, riches or power.
So the rise of the black mage Xhent to Elite was not something he enjoyed.
That one had not been with in the ranks as long as Beobj. Even though they
aren't within the same sect it nagged him. So he started making his plans.

And then on day the stage was set. Xhent came to the Ostalagiah of the Past
bringing with her a full armie of undead storm giants. Beobj had asked the
mage to aid in killing Vethrai within the colosseum. As they entered Beobj
gave the lead to the mage and asked to take the western route. And true to
his form Meneir sliped out of the shadows and cut the mage down with one blow.

The revenge didn't help Beobjs way to Elite himself but it did help filling
the hole his envy was digging inside him.

Chapter 4

Beobj makes his way to the front of the line trying to pass the tull taken
up by the Centurions. The Centurions give a salute and he continues on his
way with out stopping.

His time within the Empire have gone well. But his learning could do better.
Most of the time when confronted with battle Beobj finds himself on the
loosing side. He most improve. But how? The Guild in Hamsah still teaches
him the ins and outs of the weapons but he needs something more. He needs
someone who has seen battle, who has lived battle, who knows the ins and
outs of a fight. He needs to learn tactics! And finally he seems to have
found a whisper of hope. There is a god who many say is one of the best
fighter there ever was. A dwarf god name Ysaloerye. Beobj is on his way to
find this Paragon and hope to become a apprentice. Learning all he can
about the ways of combat.

But how does one present himself or even talk to a divine being? Do you
bow? Do you grovel? Can you look upon them?

Beobj steels himself trying not to think about the meeting and heads north
towards Akan. Someone there most know this dwarf.

Chapter 3

It was a day like most others in the life of a Sheathed Blade. Some elfs
got cut down by your daggers. Their belongings sold and the gold donated
to the coffins of war.

Then suddenly the Emperor blessed us with a direct question. Taking a leap
of faith Beobj answered before his ranking officers. Never meeting the eyes
of the Emperor of course. And the reward was beyond what he could have dreamed.
The Emperor himself prompted him up to Imperial Blade! And did so in front of
a large crowed.

Having caught the eye of Emperor Beobj will now do all he can to take one of
the spots as Elite.

Chapter 2

When Beobj was 16 he didn't go directly to the city guards as Arumasth had hoped
instead he wanted to see more of the land and found a band of other eager
younglings and headed for the mountains. The goal was to find a dwarven king
and strike it rich! The way to Akan was filled with adventures of all kinds.
But before they could make their to the castle they meet the Shadow Lord of
Gedunthos and instead of finding the dwarven king he found the order of the
Empire.

* Beobj is a drifter that thought the life as a cutpurse would be one for him.
But now that he finds himself within ranks of the Empire his hunger for
power has begun to grow.

* Beobj wishes to learn all he can about fighting. In this he hopes to find
some that has gone before him that has much to learn him.

Chapter 1

Crouching down low to avoid as much of the wind as he can he still keeps his
eyes on the group making it's way through the Frigid Wasteland. Sooner or
later someone will get lost or just drop behind long enough for them to be
unseen by the others. At last there is on dropping behind giving Beobj his
opportunity. Keeping low he zooms in on the now lone traveller pulling out
his knife. His strike is met with the resounding clang of meeting metal.
Looking down with surprise he finds that the lone traveller is no traveller
at all but instead a fully armoured guard. Chocked and now with fear in his
mind he tries to get away but is caught on the back of the head by something
and all goes black.

.... should just do it and get it over with. What could you ever gain from...

Waking up with a thrubbing head Beobj find himself bound and in the back of
a cart. The person driving the cart looks around and grins.
- So your awake, well we shall see if that hit made you dumber or smarter.
He turns around and after a wile the cart runs through a large gate and
finally comes to a stop in a court of some kind. The sound of fighting echoing
between the walls. The man on the cart speaks to a man that approached from
the house.
- Found this one trying to put his dagger through my heart. He doesn't have
much strength but seems to be a feisty little kitten
- This isn't a shelter for lost kittens Arumasth. Take him to the orphanage
I'm sure they have room for more."
- And let him be trained by Thrym and become one of them thick headed haters
of magic? No thank you very much. I didn't drag him all this way to have him
become one of them. This one needs to join this guild just as much, if not
more then I did, Erland. Under your watchful eye and training he might become good
enough to join the guards watch one day.
Erland shrugs and mutters to him self I'm to kind for my own good
- I don't remember you being kind all those times you used that poke of yours
on my hind.
Erland chuckles.
- I didn't say I was soft. I said I was kind. And as I recall you earned each
and every one of them thrashings. alright I will take him but ones he knows what
end is up on the weapon he will be sent to your barrack and become your
responsibility.
Arumasth walks back and lifts Beobj of the cart and unties him.
- ARG! -Thump- Now cut that out.
Erland chuckles seeing Arumast holding the kitten in one hand and sucking his
finger on the other. I see what you mean with feisty.
Arumasth mutters Now you listen here kitten. This here is Erland, leader of
the guild and he will treat you fare and train you hard. Listen and do what he
tells you and you will have a good live here. Disobey and he will make your
life a living hell.
Erland take Beobj by the neck with grip firm as steel in and leads him into
the building.

Ahead lay long days and lots of sweat. Beobj did alright and didn't get more
been missing.
