You are viewing a read-only archive of the Carrion Fields discussion forums built from a snapshot of the forum database on 2026-08-25. The search page works, though it is not as sophisticated as the old forum search. This archive encompasses approximately 25 years of CF discussion. Today, that discussion continues on Discord (see the main website for a link).

Some of the special-purpose forums are listed below along with their replacements (as of writing):

#75, "Zombies and summon"

Trotting out this dying horse again, but can we please add a way, even if it is a spell or prep or whatever, that would allow necromancers to prevent out of range summoning by bored goodies/trolls, or at least punish them for it?

Give me something similar to Dvarrah's Elixir that would explode for 99% hp and a long forget effect if an out of range person summoned the zombie. It can even make the zombie weaker...I don't care.

I simply do not feel that leaving my zombies in a guild (that just happens to be no_summon) or killing a bunch of graveyard zombies is conducive to fun or immersive play.

Like you said, probably a dead horse. I don't feel strongly either way on this one, so I'm going to defer to the position that the staff has consistently taken in the past.
