If I have a shifter and get terrible forms in both major and minor, under the new system, is it possible to get enough edge points to both 'spin the wheel' and 'roll the bones' or should I just delete and start over.

In general, sure it's possible. At level 47 with little or no edge points earned from means other than EXP/OXP? No, probably not.

I'm absolutely fine with that.
