But it seems there are many unclaimed characters these days. Some of them even seemed like good additions to the game (going off what others posted, anyway). Is it just a bunch of newer people who don't get around to the forums?

Has this been the trend since I was away? Not saying it's the worst thing ever, just seems a bit off to me.
