You are viewing a read-only archive of the Carrion Fields discussion forums built from a snapshot of the forum database on 2026-08-25. The search page works, though it is not as sophisticated as the old forum search. This archive encompasses approximately 25 years of CF discussion. Today, that discussion continues on Discord (see the main website for a link).

Some of the special-purpose forums are listed below along with their replacements (as of writing):

#61398, "Question about Malefic Glow"

Does the vuln affect only apply when the inherent is used (or the spell cast by the anti-paladin), or would it also apply if the faerie fire effect came from a "consumable" magic item (wand, talisman, scroll)?

Using a faerie fire wand doesn't give any echo suggesting the extra malediction.

Are you mixing up the bioluminescence wand for a faerie fire wand by chance?

You zap a human soldier with a FAERIE FIRE WAND.
A human soldier is surrounded by a pink outline.
A crackling web of cold energy courses over a human soldier.
