It seems like a lot of goodies get away with abusing request though.
It's (very) not uncommon to see goodie heroes requesting stuff simply because it's in, not because they died and need to regear.
It would be nice to see more goodies use request sparingly instead of every time they notice a requestable "upgrade" to their suit or simply because they can.
From an IC standpoint, it's kind of lame to see goodies request the nice sword from a mob then, noticing better sword is in an hour later, request it and toss just plain nice sword in the pit instead of back on it's owner.
This feels like a Pro/Java rant. Ah well.

I know when I've played goodies almost no one adheres to the "Don't request stuff for other players" rule.

But more often I just get given stuff that must have been requested.

...when I requested it.
I don't know, I feel like I abused request with my first goodie, my arial invoker. I had never played a goodie, never identified half the gear, so a lot of times I would request something, ID it, then hand it back to the mob.

Excuse my ignorance, but you can give an item back to the mob from which you requested it, and they will exclaim 'Ah!' and reequip said item or some such?
