Apparently they can do that I was told. It sounds really horrific. Is it meant to work like that? And if it is? Why? Is there even one single good reason for it? Because I really don't see it.

Uh... PCs can loot corpses outside of their own level range. And zombies, and special guards, and treants. . . .

Demons do seem to bypass corpseguard though. Even for corpses being guarded by a PC whose level is higher than that of the demon.

No, conjie servitors can't be ordered around like mercs. Harmentia demons "automatically" loot weapons from any corpse they happen upon.
