A little off topic, I know, but would it be possible to add Imm comments to deathangel? The comments that imm's put in your P-File as you play?

I don't know that it would give anything away after you die to see what others thought of you through your life..

...Rome...

Good idea, Rome, but probably not doable.

The Imm comments are probably completely OOC things, like,...

"suspect cheating with Blah, saw them exchanging awesome things with no speech in between them. Keep eye out."

I think that it's actually better to just wait for the thread to appear in the battlefield and if an Imm feels compelled to say something, they will.

I do like the idea, though, and would like to see WHAT the death angel posts to actually be revamped.

Nuke the PK ratio crap. Show total number of kills/deaths. Or just kills.
Show some kind of explorer rating.
Wimpy average.
Biggest mob killed.
Biggest mob you died to.
Longest login session.
Shortest.
Login average.
Deletion location.
Most favored food.
Number of times an NPC healers services were used.
Number of recall potions used.
Number of zaps.
Number of brandishes.
Number of recites.
Highest dam (not damroll).
Highest consecutive hits count.
Highest dam taken.
Levelsitting amount.
Distention ratio.

#2397, "Ideas for Death Angel revamp."
In response to Reply #2

Some of these things might sound stupid, but, I just shoot out the ideas... You guys refine them. Personally, I have an Excel file for each of my characters that tracks HP/MP/MV gain, and I even have a whole Skills section that I fill in, which displays charts from level 1-51 with skills and their levels at each rank, showing how fast I'm learning things... So that's why the yearning for more information, heh. You guys (and girls) probably keep the information at a bare minimum on purpose... but here's what I, as a single player, would like to see...

Before I begin, though, I'd like to make THIS suggestion. Tie Death Angel INTO the game. What I mean is, make some sort of command... A command whereby the player can 'choose' WHAT information to release, and what information not to release, at the time of their death. For example, I mention down below the idea of having their AMOUNT of PvP kills and deaths displayed... They could have the option of turning that off, or on, and then no one would know (except Imms)... Call it your very own carrion fields privacy act.

Currently it shows:

Race, Class, Level, Alignment, Ethos, Cabal, Age, Hours and PK Ratio.

Here is what I suggest, thank you for your interest:

1. Number of PK Kills and Deaths. Let's face it, I could have 1 kill, 0 deaths, and have a 100% ratio. Personally I don't see Ratio as that big of a deal, so just adding this would be a little bit more of a nifty statistic of... "wow I got killed by a guy who killed 150 others" or "...damn I was one of his 5 kills..." and on the opposite side of the spectrum, too. The only fear I'd have of this is people rolling characters JUST to get the highest number of kills, and all that, but let's face it... that's what some people do now anyway... I don't think this would effect that.

2. Experience gained from Immteraction. I am 99.9% sure that you guys do NOT track this sort of thing, and that this would add to people's pfile... but I think it would be interesting to see Experienced gained for good RP: 1500... maybe that would just make some people feel bad and frustrated.

3. 'Positions held' slot... Rather than it just being in the title, could be... Position held: Emperor of Thera. What if they were NOT the Emperor at the time of deletion (for whatever reason), it wouldn't be in their title anymore. I think a little list of what they held over the course of their character would be more information.

4. WHEN Hero'd... At what hour did this person get hero (or their last rank)? 50? 250? Would be interesting to see if someone was a hero at the 50th hour, and then played another 200 hours. Or if they were at hero at the 200th hour, and then played another 50 hours.

5. Hometown. Depending on pfile bloat issues, could track what hometowns this person started in, moved to, ended up in. I know as Zekasiq I went from... Galadon to Hamsah to Udgaard. Might be a curiosity that some would like to know.

6. Skills. (Doubtful, I know) Most people post these anyway, maybe having it in a nicely formatted section would be good... though that would make DA's initial post pretty big.

7. Same for role. Don't know if you guys can make Death Angel REPLY to themself, putting role into a "reply" thread, for readability's sake.

8. Description.

Hm I really thought I had more ideas... gotta run out for now if I think of more I'll reply... hmm...

Remember ALL this information could be set to be released or not, kind of like an autolist within game.

SHRUG.

...I didn't even think of that. That's a REALLY good idea. It will give people yet another reason not to delete, albeit small, and maybe give them that extra second to stop and think about how to continue on. And, for those that don't even give it though, yet another reward.

Good ideas.

I'd like to see PK ratio replaced with PK win and PK loss counts.
I'd also like to see the date the character was rolled on.

Pk wins still doesn't distinguish between the guy who multi-kills newbs and the guy who only fights people who are tough. In fact, it makes the latter look worse.

That's true, though it's still a step up from PK Ratio, which also doesn't make that distinction, but also hides the fact that someone may have just hid out.

I personally think it puts too much emphasis on pk-ratioalikes to have a whole lot of stuff about that in the deathangel post, but pkwins/pklosses could be broken down into 10 level ranges 11-20, 21-30 etc.

How about giving a count of "equivelant charges" gained? Since the AP cod is already in, allowing for differences between tough targets and pushovers, let this be the guide for how "Deathful" someone was in life?

Then just give a readout according to how many charges they racked up in life....

0-5 Newbie
..
..
200-240 Nepenthe

...Rome...

Because it's just so important to know how many charges you've racked up as a bard.

I like the pk ratio just for my own purposes. But often times I wish it had more and I have thought of a few ways to keep the number crunchers from having a field day.

Two ideas for upgrades

Con-death chars

Make it so hero chars who died a CON-DEATH can see their pk ratio AND their pk ratio amongst evil/good/neutral and possibly against cabals as well. This would ONLY be viewable if the char made it to hero AND died a CON DEATH. Otherwise you just see normal pk ratio. And to prevent people from spam killing themselves at hero make it so all mob deaths as hero count against pk ratio? People might cry and whine but it would keep the integrity of the situation.

Age-Death chars

For the few people who play a char all the way through. Show them the super pk ratio from above AND their total pk win/loss record. I know people dont like the numbers thing, but if you have the dedication to age kill a char then it is a nice little reward. And not only that but people have a bigger incentive not to delete.

I think these are two realistic ideas.
