#21010, "Question about slasher (faceslash edge)"
Edited on Mon 07-Apr-08 05:03 PM

Is this edge broken or working as intended? It was brought up on the other forum, and it got me thinking.

Faceslash is nice in certain occasions, and has a cool niche against bards. You can use it as an opening move, with the potential to lag (like trip?) and loss of charisma, with either a main wield or offhand wield dagger. The edge adds two strikes, and dual wielding daggers is not mandatory (as far as I know) to get two slashes. How is someone slashing simultaneously for two exact same hits that are back to back MANGLES? That's a bit over the top for an edge, when coupled with the abilities the faceslash skill already has.

In my opinion, it should work like this: Normal faceslash attempt, plus the second strike which is half strength, but also adds more charisma loss.

Or, make it mandatory to have to wield two daggers in order to get two powerful slashes.
