A mob in the various major cities, or maybe just one special one. That you can give things to, he identifies them, and charges you accordingly. You'd get the exact same screen as when you identify something yourself.

Also a dude just south of Hamsah and to the east. Before you get to the desert. Never used him before, but supposedly he does the same thing as Alduk. In case you're a hardened criminal and can't get into the Inn.

There's something like that already in the Inn of the Eternal Star. I recommend looking around there for clues.
