#1814, "Blindness"
|
In CF there are several ways to be blinded.
1) Flash 2) Cast ‘blindness’ 3) Com ‘blindness’ 4) Eyejab 5) Dirt kick 6) Blindness dust
To mention a few.
What have bugged me for quite some time – and I think I wrote about this before – is the way they are handled. The first three are magical induced blindness, and do, from my point of view, not actually do something physical (Eyes roll around with necro-blindness, yes). The other three are physical induced blindness. Eyes smashed or something is obstructing the view. They should be dealt with accordingly, in two different ways.
It should be possible to magically/physical induce blindness on someone blinded the other way.
This should also be reflected in the “cure” hence, bind wounds should remove magical blindness, just as you can’t remove dirt kick or eyejab at the healer.

The way the code handles them makes this impossible. Could I change it? Probably...but I don't really feel like going through every single spot where blindness is checked to make two different checks for very little gain.

I could see that.

So long, and thanks for all the fish!

Flash is not magical blindness. The source of the light is magical, but the blindness that results is not.
I think you meant that bind wounds should not remove magical blindness too.
