You are viewing a read-only archive of the Carrion Fields discussion forums built from a snapshot of the forum database on 2026-08-25. The search page works, though it is not as sophisticated as the old forum search. This archive encompasses approximately 25 years of CF discussion. Today, that discussion continues on Discord (see the main website for a link).

Some of the special-purpose forums are listed below along with their replacements (as of writing):

They are cowardly by nature so it fits their setup. It would incourage orcs to play heavy two handed weapons such as polearms and if you need any mopre persuation, LOTR the two towers.

1) In general, orcs don't get much for defense. Any polearm skills they get will smell more like Pin and less like Distance.

2) Their skills also tend to be more about force than skill or intellect. Charge Set has a lot to do with training and alertness.

3) I wouldn't expect new orc skills for a while. It's like the umpteen "37th Legacy" threads... we'll continue to tweak existing stuff because it's important for balance, but if we move into new territory, other classes have more pressing needs.

Chargeset means you stand firm, polearm planted, ready to take the charge. Cowardly means you drop that frigging big stick with a blade on the end, and run to the back of the line, letting someone else absorb the brunt of an attack.
