Arguably, rangers gain the least from joining Outlander of any class and hence, lose the least when the fetish is gone. And while they are among the strongest defenders in a raid, they are perhaps amongst the weakest in attacking enemy cabals because they give up so much when out of the wilds.
Hence my ideas: remove chameleon and harvest from the rangers in Outlander and give them instead: 1) the ability to avoid/remove faerie fire/fog/bioluminescence which would aid in the usual flee, camo, heal, return needed in counter raids. (and rangers need this far more than warriors even 10 ranks below them do)
2) some thing similar to wilderness familiarity that works when raiding cities or enemy cabals, which makes the disadvantage rangers face when raiding a bit smaller.
I am not suggesting that rangers aren't suited to Outlander, far from it, it's just that some of the Outlander powers more or less duplicate skills rangers already have.
I am aware of some of the differences between chameleon and camouflage, harvest and butcher, and windwalk and pathfinding. It just seems to me one of the classes whose philosophical underpinnings make them prime candidates for Outlander, gain the least when joining compared to say a warrior, shaman or healer joining the same cabal.
Or just bring back 'call bears' That'd be good
Just some thoughts.
