I can think of at least one existing shield that deals a different type of damage with these skills. It's possible you've never seen it.

The way objects & combat are done, this would not be an easy change and would have minimal effect. Very little damage is ever actually caused by a shield (shieldbash and...?) most things are using the shield to gain a tactical advantage with your weapon.

Which according to the help file is a strike with the lip of the shield.

Yes this is likely the biggest reason for my request, as many times my shield jabs hit as hard as my normal hits... (very low damroll) but many times on some choice mobs they are immune, and this would be nice in battle with other races, as iron, mithril, light, water, cold... whatever damage type could be used in pk often as a shield using pally, but I understand if its that much of a coding nightmare.
