I know when I've played scion magi there are two things I do that distort the figures:

One -- I despoil weak stuff as an alternative to saccing it (and if it is no drop, or at least, I used to). Also, I viewed it as a way to practice despoil without spamming. Not sure whether it actually worked though.

Two -- I despoil at low level, when I don't really need a good despoil, or am not yet capable of getting the really good despoil options.

At hero, I would expect over 300 every time, and generally around 450-550.

I mean, there were weak mobs I could kill with multiple items that can be despoiled for 200-400. So I'd use them for convenience.

Unless you're playing one right now, you're not included in the last 600 despoils.

And these don't count? It's still a despoil. The game doesn't begin and end at hero.

I agree you could probably expect over 300 every time, but I don't see folks running around with 450-550 all the time.

If the game doesn't begin at hero, then a despoil of 150 is still quite a lot.

Once you get to a level where barrier is an issue, you are getting major despoils again.

I would also say that the convenience despoils don't count for much. It's a bit like a communer walking around with haven when he has no enemies on, rather than sanc.

That the numbers are skewed by factors that don't consider despoil when used at it's height. That is, by an extremely knowledgable hero with full abs instead of several ranking-up scions or less proficient hero characters.

Consider that an awesome despoil also has a longer timer and a crappy despoil a much shorter one. What Daurwyn is saying is that he can burn those three-four weaker items while he's running around busy and then beef up with a 700+ when he's finished his quieter business. And that said heroes are the ones that are causing the biggest problem. Fighting someone who has geared for 1000hp, and then gotten an 800+ for 150 hours makes it impossible to fight them solo. Especially taking into account the strong power of the Scions other abilities, and the power-house nature of many of their classes. I'm hoping it still works out that using one powerful item consistantly won't always give you an awesome despoil, and what you said doesn't rule that out, but if it does then the numbers don't really reflect the strength of it in the hands of those who are going to be causing the most imbalance.

Because I do, and 150 hour despoils NEVER happen unless you are an advisor or chancellor (and you HAVE to be a full mage class). I say that with all confidence since I was using an item fairly regularly with my last Scion that would give 600-750 hp for 65-80 hours, and that item was, well, not to spoil the despoil secrets, but it was a perfect despoil item.

I too think Despoil is a little insane, but only, as you say, when a Cerunnir invoker has it. I mean, Hell gear is overpowered on a Fire Giant Sword spec emperor, but you don't really complain about that anymore because it's fairly rare.

For as badass as your invoker was Yhor, how badass was your PK ratio? Were you 150-4? Then it's probably not as a big a problem as you and Daur seem to think.

Fianlly, Joe AP with Despoil doesn't scare me too much. Nepenthe with Despoil, different story.

I'm fine with Despoil since Scion hardly ever has their item anyway lol.
