You are viewing a read-only archive of the Carrion Fields discussion forums built from a snapshot of the forum database on 2026-08-25. The search page works, though it is not as sophisticated as the old forum search. This archive encompasses approximately 25 years of CF discussion. Today, that discussion continues on Discord (see the main website for a link).

Some of the special-purpose forums are listed below along with their replacements (as of writing):

#351, "Quality of Pkills and Edges"

There are many ways to accumulate edge points.

I believe that pkills do(or did) accumulate towards this to a very small degree.

Is it possible to use the a-p coding for strength of victim in determining bonuses or lack of when killing someone who is a lot more stronger.

(eg. The same victim who would give 10 charges is worth a lot more toward edges then the newbie or suicide opponent)

This is my first and last request for Christmas Sant Zulg!

This is the problem. The degree to which they contribute is small enough that this isn't likely going to matter.

So long, and thanks for all the fish!

Make them matter more?

That which does not kill us,
makes us stronger.

I'm pretty happy with how it sits now overall. There's really enough incentive to PK in general; if anything, I'd add more small incentives for kinds of PK I think are good for the game / more fun for everyone.
