I've made it clear from the beginning that something of this sort will exist before the Shifter revamp is completed (and probably isn't going to happen until I'm done adding forms). So long, and thanks for all the fish!

But the general idea is there will be a way for you to repick either of your final (major or minor focus) forms as long as you've never used them. So long, and thanks for all the fish!

Is the edge meant for those people only who have had the form before and know how it works? I'd like the edge to work for players who realised that the form they picked wasn't suitable for their playing style or simply wanted another after getting thoroughly bored of the first one?

I don't want someone getting lion, playing around with it for 150 hours, then deciding that's not really what they wanted, re-pick and get tiger.
The way the forms are now, there shouldn't be a "bad" form, and most of the reasons to re-pick are things like: I have two forms that are bash attacks, I have gotten the lion the last 3 shifters, etc. So long, and thanks for all the fish!

The problem I would see with this is that if a person gets that form for the first time, he doesn't know what attack type it has etc. for the decision. Maybe let them try it out and still change until they are skilled or confident with the form?

They could always ask around too.
Starting with no use gives Zulg room to see how it works before any tweaking (if necessary).
Don't sweat the hurdle, celebrate the potential.

And add the damage type to the forms command. You'll have no reason not to know. So long, and thanks for all the fish!

I'm focusing on getting the forms done before figuring out exactly how I want to do it. If pressed for an answer, I'd lean towards no (much like people who had already picked focuses didn't get a chance at the new forms). The cost of coding it up isn't worth it for the handful of folks who fall into that category in my opinion. So long, and thanks for all the fish!
