#160, "Dear Santa!"
|
Dear Santa Zulg, I've always been a spoiled child so my mommy taught me to ask for lots of things, and hope I get one or two of them! Here is my second request!
Paladins: I love the concept of all these different strikes of a Two-Handed Paladin, but even though, it is well done, you usually do not see many of them used for their redundancy or lack of utility. Here is my suggestions for making this the main advantage of a two-hander paladin. Firstly, I’d like to see Templar Defense –stat skill hits be able to stack with one another. For example, a paladin could usea High Spin for its – str, and then strike with a mid cross for –dex and str. So you’d have the High Spin affect and the Mid Cross effect both on their stats. Its more of wittling down a foe then the typical strikeoffaith and hope for three hits type of mentality.
Secondly, give three new edges for paladins, one that would increase the likely hood of striking and the effects of each of the defenses, but only one mastery is selectable. Such as Master of the High Defense. Adds a little bit more variety to edges for two-handed paladins.
Thirdly, modify the Defenses, so a lot of overlap is no longer noticeable. Add a few new effects, like a chance to disarm at the strikes to the wrist. Maces to the head could cause a foe to become disoriented and miss an attack (Feint) or adds a confusion effect upon them.

FYI, you've been able to do this for probably about 4-5 years.

Are you certain? I asked this about 2-3 years ago, and you said it was not possible for more then one -stat TD to be in affect at a time.

I'm pretty sure.
You definitely couldn't at one point, but eventually I realized that some infrastructure that Sebeok had put in for druid stuff a while back made it pretty easy to switch it over, and since no one ever really used any of the temp d moves other than hiltsmash at the time I thought, why not?
I thought I announced this, but I might not have. I have bad habits in that respect.
