Generally, after the first empowerment I'll watch and if you're being cool I'll lastname. I try and give lots of lastnames out. Sometimes I forget. If your last name sucks, I won't give it out.

I just realized that I'm afraid to ask questions anymore. Everyone always acts like you're a jerk and argumentative. It's weird to me that I come off that way on CF forums, but not in real life. Anywho, I'm not trying to be either of the above when I ask:

Do you think giving just about everyone their last name takes the special out?

Maybe. It's not supposed to be the kind of perk that makes you pee your pants when you see you got it, it's just a nice little note that says "Hey, I acknowledge this is a solid character that deserves a small reward". Would you prefer I gave out less lastnames?

Always a warm feeling when you do a ''who'' and realise 'Whoa, I got a last name! Nice!'

Stunna is sleepy and has had too much beerzors. I remember a time when that meant something cool... now it just means trying not to trip on things and wake up babies. ####.

And honestly, I love it when it gets done early. People take it for granted that heroes are going to be watched by Imms, especially caballed heroes.

It's good to get some rewards at a low lvl, just to give the player a warm fuzzy that they're doing well with the character. Really, I just look at it as an overall stamp of approval. And it makes it easier to dedicate the time and effort into ranking up, when you know the char is well-recieved.

At least that's my perspective.

Most of my characters up until now have lacked roleplay and were just for exploration/learning the game. My first real attempt at some RP and I got my lastname around level 20 or so. Easily the best reward I've received since I started playing.
