Number one of three.
Yes, I was the asshole who created a shifter with no forms. Feel free to send hatemail.
I created this character as yet another attempt at a hardcore roleplay to get something special. Well, this one didn't work out at all. After 150 hours of praying to Valguarnera and perfecting all my skills and spells (except parry and fast healing) and not practicing shapeshift, I never got a response from him. Oh well.
Goodbyes: Scion: Thanks to you all for assigning bodyguards to me and helping me rank. I almost felt bad for all the bodyguards but, hell, isn't that what they signed up for? The opportunity to roleplay was awesome for a bodyguard and each one just upped and screwed it up.
Krivohan: I still think you were lying to me when you said you spoke to Valguarnera (hydra) and he would talk to me. I spent 150 of my hours praying for him, each hour I would spend 15 minutes praying for him. No answer. Not much more you can do to show dedication except playing longer I guess. 179 hours without a form is painful enough with no reponse at all. You did well.
Karanvex: That immortal fire giant shaman. You said, "contact me in a few days once the Scion Chancellors have accepted you and you will be brought into the inner circle" and you upped and disappeared. I never, ever saw you again. What the hell? Thanks for leaving me hanging .
Dullameh: Thank you for ranking me. It was very efficient. Good luck with that immortal stuff. Also, thanks for all the nifty staffs from the Silent Tower. They were grossly overpowered.
Jaslanna: Thanks for trying to help me perfect my last damn skill, parry. It is very hard to perfect at level 51 when you are shifter with no forms.
Battle: Never ran into you. I saw one of you, I used my most powerful spell ever, Word of recall. I ran like a little bitch, and feel free everyone to say that I did, because I did. What was I going to do? Fumble you to death? Oooh scary.
Also, fumble is so effective on mobs now. Two round lag for you, they pick up their weapon and re-wield it before your lag is out. Guess I'm not using that on mobs by myself.
Maran: Never really ran into any of you. Did above, worded.
Tribunal: Never could attack anyone effectively so never got wanted.
Sylvans: None of you knew I was bad so you left me alone. Thanks.
Warlocks: One of you figured out I was evil by my "aura" and killed me with the lion before I could word of recall. Damn you, defeated my most powerful spell.
Scarab: Anyone exist there? Nope? Thought so.
Entropy: Bah didn't run into any of you. Were there any of you I don't know. But oh well.
Other independents:
Duheran (sp?): The ranking master lemur. Thanks for ranking me and I actually thought you would get some for your help. Oh well.
All the people I grouped with: I would really like to know why you wanted a shifter with no forms carrying around 150 wands of wall of fire and lightning bolt in your group. Please tell me because I was amazed on how many people wanted to help me. After a while, I had people telling me, "Do you need help?" or "Can you turn into a dragon yet". It was quite funny.
Now the character: All of you can see him as Hifflio Two. My attempt was NOT to get a quest form. Valguarnera's religion was that you had to set your goals very very high and persue them relentlessly. I think I did that. But what I wanted actually was just all reptilian forms, or at least just one. The alligator, the lizard, the sea snake, whatever. My whole roleplay was I wanted to emulate cold blooded creatures because I was cold blooded and thought warm bloods were just there to be food or enslaved. I did not achieve it but oh well, doesn't matter.
Below is my role and practice list for those who care.
Flame away, because I know I seem to attract flamers.

ROLE:
Added Wed Apr 17 23:22:27 2002 at level 21: Code of Reptile One: The cold-blooded are more important than the warm-blooded, no cold-blooded will be harmed at any time unless the offending cold-blooded strikes first. (no reptiles, no dragons, no draconians, no lizardmen, no lizard people, no reptilian transmuter forms, etc.)
Two: The warm-blooded are tolerated only to serve the purposes of the cold-blooded and to facilitate the coming of the Time of the Reptiles.
Three: Those warm-blooded not in service to the cold-blooded are food.
Four: The intelligent no-bloods (undead) are to be respected as allies of the cause unless they have embraced goodness.
Five: The black-bloods (drow) are useful allies and may have a place in the Time of the Reptile as overseerers of the warm-bloods, underlings of the reptiles. They are not to be hunted unless circumstances force your hand.
Personal Goals One: Learn the path of the reptiles and only the reptiless
Two: Dedicate my life to the Hydra and the no-blood Lord Valguarnera.
Three: Discover the path to the highest level of reptilian life.
Four: Feed upon the warm-blooded and show the power of the reptilian people.
Five: To open the guilds of the land so they will take applications from lizardmen and bring forth a precursor of the Time of the Reptiles.
The Story of Birth
Echoes of a female human's screams cross the cavern like a ghost released from its eternal bondage. The screams are quickly cut short. The birth is finished.
"Thissss one is perfectttt." I black robed lizardman whispers to his colleague as he pulls a squriming human child from the cut open stomach of a female human girl.
"It stilll hassssss taillll thoughh...." The taller of the two states matter-of-factly.
"Noooo matter, everything elssse perfecttttt.... Taill can be hidden.... It short.... not noticable...." He hisses back, wiping blood from the brow of the elongated human baby form.
"You righttt.... he look warm-blooded..... but blood run cold inside.... he will work" the taller one states as a faint hiss can be heard as the flick of a reptilian tongue comes out from underneath the hood.
The two forms hurry off from the dark cavern, leaving the grusome scene behind.
(Later in a massive underground cavern filled with lizardmen)
"All other tries failuresssss.... This one not....." the shorter black robed one hisses as he holds up the naked human-like child. Its features elongated but humanoid. A small tail flicks back and forth from his far lower back.
"Yessss lord, thisss is the one...." the taller one blurts out to the audience of finely clad attendants and lizardman chief.
"But it hassss a tail !?!"shouted one of the chief's attendants.
A whistling of air is heard then a sudden, loud impact thud. The lizardman attendant lies crushed and impaled against the rocky cavern wall from the quick swing of the chief's massive spiked hammer. His death comes quickly and then the chief speaks.
"No. That is perfect. Will remind him of origin and it can be easily hidden, easy enough. Yesssss...." the chief turns his eyes toward the two black robed lizardman. "This one perfect.... not too human like last one who failed... this one perfect... no fail... " as he points toward the torch lit exit of the massive underground cavern.
"Go... raissse him... apply him... ssssend him warm-blood transmuter guild in Galadon cityssscape and ssstart path." the chief hisses loudly as the two cohorts nod and hurry off with the young lizard human.
(fourteen years later)
Added Fri Apr 19 21:15:42 2002 at level 28: The First Hunt without Aid "Ha! Ha! Look at Vizzimir, he looks like his parents tied ropes to his legs and arms and then had horses pull in opposite ways!" the young teenage human boy shouts out as he points toward an elongated figure dressed in a flowing robe. Other children laugh and point too, quite entertained with taunts.
Vizzimir just continues to study on the bench in the park of Galadon, ignoring the laughing and snarling children.
The young teenage boy continues, "Actually, I bet your parents are statues. You are as ugly as medusa herself!". Laughter erupts from the gathered children as they point at Vizzimir.
Vizzimir puts the massive tome down and looks up at the teenage boy. "Why thank you." Fond thoughts of the medusa maid that raised him brings a smile to his face.
The teenage boy gets a shocked look on his face, disturbed by such a truthful and honest sounding response. He shugs and hurries off with the other children, involved in a game of kick the bottle.
(that night)
"Guys, I have to get home and its getting so dark I can't see the bottle!" the same taunting teenage announces to his gathering of friends.
"Ok, get out of here Kivis, we will see you tomorrow at the warrior's guild for training." another teenage shouts out as he playfully drops the loincloth of another warrior student.
The usual laughter erupts from the group as the sun disappears under the horizon.
"Ha, hah... okay see you all later!" Kivis cackles as he scurries off down the dark alley toward the northwest gate of Galadon hoping to get to Tar Valon before his mother gets worried because he is out after dark.
Kivis gets almost twenty paces down the dark alley when a whisper carrying his name comes from the abandoned warehouse.
"Kivisssssssss"
"What the?" Kivis instinctively spits out in a hushed tone.
"Good to see you again" whispers the darkness. Slowly, a 7 foot tall elongated human figure steps from the darkness.
Kivis stands aghast as words spill from his mouth, "You are that freak human from the park!".
"I am indeed." Vizzimir hisses. "And you are my next meal."
Kivis's eyes open wide when he hears this, confused. "What do you mea-" but before he could finish his sentence, Vizzimir was upon him, his elongated mouth clamped around his throat cutting off air supply, piercing arteries, and creating nothing but a silent scream from Kivis.
His death came quickly and his consumption beyond description. What evidence that was left is quickly dusted over by the Galadon grime and dust that is constantly in the air. Vizzimir would not have to feed for quite awhile now.
(at some point later in time, right before graduation from academy...)

The First Step
"I only know the beginning....." Vizzimir hisses to himself as he pours through yet another dusty tome.
"How willll I disssscover... more...." The words seem to be more tense, lined with frustration.
Within the dark, dank cavern west of Galadon, somewhere hidden in the swamp, Vizzimir sits and debates with himself. Wondering where to start to head down the path of reptilian perfection.
"Previous one'ssss group.... gone.... destroyed.... hisssstory lost." Vizzimir scratches the base of his elongated neck with his index finger. The squared off fingernail leaves a white mark in his slightly olive colored skin.
"Know thisssss..... must perfect... must be perfect.... if want try know path.... yessss..." he nods to himself with obvious self satisfaction.
Undying dedication flares in his eyes. Perfection he would seek before trying to grasp the understanding of the true reptile form. Although the previous one learned under a different transmuter guild than he, he knows nothing but the lore given to him and his undying desire to reach it despite all obstacles.
Like the Hydra itself, cut a head away and two grow back more powerful than before, only total destruction of the being will stop it from its goal, and even that seems unlikely.
The crazed Vizzimir quickly wraps the old tome in human skin oiled for waterproofing and puts it beneath his marshweed meshed cloak and scurries into the standing water nearby, disappearing into its blackness.

Hand written note next to a spell in his personal spellbook:
"Water Breathing" the Shapeshifter Incantation (off in the margin you find the following text) "Woke and found myself drowning in air. Discovered transformation not perfect
and huuuman lungs not develop with rest of body growth. Forced to return to swamp and breath water but discovered starting to choke there. Altered this spell to alivate difficulty breathing on land and water but now it is weakened and the spell's magic only helps support breath in both places. It must be maintained all the time or else risk discomfort and later, drowning in air and death..."

(A hastily written message in the margin of the "Teleport")
"Teleport" The Generic Magician Incantation "The dreams keep coming, and each time it is a hydra, a masssive pyro-hydra of a size never seen. Each time I have the dream, it has one less head on it. When I was fresh out of the academy, it had 26 heads upon it, but now it only 21 heads on it. Each dream the heads swirl around me while I lay paralyzed before its feet. They swirl and fill the air with words, words, words... "Dedication" "contiue..." "unfailing" "never stop" "perfection" "consume" "history" "failure" The words never stop and the words mix into a murky puddle of sounds, but one word is always said last before I wake up, "Dedication".
What does it mean?"
The spell teleport is a random blinking of the humanoid form....... (The usual description of teleport given to all new academy members)
Added Mon Apr 29 16:27:30 2002 at level 36: "Identify" The Generic Divination Incantation
"One of the easist incantations to perfect and understand, it allows the caster to focus divining magic into the object exposing its hidden secrets...."
(A maticulously hand written message in the margin of the "Identify" spell)
"What crap, that is, easy... my reptilian tail. This was the most difficult incantation to perfect out of all of them so far. These humans make their incantations so backward. By channeling the divinination from such a non-direct route, the incantation is three times as hard as it could be. Useless warm-blood mages...beyond that, strange thing happen yes. I speak to Dread Shaman of Scion, wish to learn about where Master Tower library go, wish to know next steps to Dragon Tower. Suddenly, he offers me assistance, all of Scion Chasm offer me assistance. Why? Krivohan and Dread Shaman say I
am connected to High Chancellor, I think it lie, I think they try steal secrets, I think they have nothing to lose, I have everything to lose. Will see, will use, but not reveal what know. Will see what this warm blood group have offer."
(The spell description continues...)
"One should have no problem perfecting this simple incantation."
(One word in angry block letters sits under this statement)
"BBBBAAAAHHH!"
(A few pages later there is an extremely worn page of the spellbook with writing on it)
"Control Translucence" The Transmutation Incantation
"Utilizing an influx of magical energy, the magician gains control on the fluidity of his body structure. This allows him or her to alter their matter state according to the situation. Before one can utilize this incantation, he or she must prepare their physical body with the incantation pass door. Once..."
(Block letters inked in the margin state
"It is done. Perfection. Complete. Must approach the Hydra. The Scion High Chancellor say approach the Hydra and begin path, but I am wary. Wary of what this one truly wants. We shall see. Yes... We shall see"

Periodic Checks of Students of the Shapeshifter Academy
To: Treile (tier 3), Zausarm (tier 8), Mojoius (tier 6), Vizzimir (tier 5), Galisvi (tier 3)
From: Guildmaster of the Shapeshifting Guild
Because of the extreme strain shapeshifting training has upon students of the academy, we perform random and periodic checks of the mental and physical well-being of the younger students to make sure their training is progressing and that their bodies are adapting to the flow of alteration magic. If you received this parchment, you are to take it to the Old Galadon Cleric's guild to receive an examination by a visiting priest from Hillcrest.
Patient: Vizzimir Time: Tier Five School: Shapeshifter
Physical Health: (scribbled in shorthand) The patient, Vizzimir, is in perfect physical health. His body seems resilient to most common diseases that normally afflict other students quite readily. His physical form itself is somewhat distressing, elongated and extended. He did not allow anyone to unclothe him for further examination. I will have to alert the Guildmaster about this.
Mental Health: (scribbled in shorthand) I am quite disturbed by Vizzimir's lack of involvement with others, his constant scratching of his skin, and wringing of hands to the point of tearing the skin itself. At times he is
completely lucid and is one of the most intelligent students in the guild and at other times he babbles incoherently and lashes out in rage. These signs point to the beginning stages of madness, it must be addressed.
Final Diagnosis: (scribbled in shorthand) I am recommending Vizzimir for direct observation by a Galadon priest at all times. He may have to be sent to Arkham for incarceration within the Asylum there for an undetermined amount of time. Once I complete this report I am going to hand deliver this message directly to the Guildmaster himself, he must know about this (Suddenly the words end and the bottom part of the page is covered in splotchy reddish-black marks. You touch one of them and it crumbles away, leaving a reddish hued stain. Blood. As you scan farther down the page, you notice the whole bottom of it is soaked with it.)
