I posted a big note stupid forum
Grottingmesh - Well played Jinroh - Great villager, when you are around the rest of the village gets a set of balls. Olofo - You try interesting things. Hamashor - I liked having you at my side Ranak - Cheers for the times Stefanie - You were fun then something changed. Ayik - You smell of Flaerglum
The rest of the village, sure brothers and stuff, nothing deadly I liked that dwarf guy, but he deleted. The youngsters have heart but no deadlyness, the olders no heart or skill.
Tribunal - You sure just flag of hand, what happened to the good old days of witnesses and such, I heard someone yelling about being fiended, maybe that happed one east of where they are standing.. I dunno no one likes to be the kind of cop that cant get it right all the time. But thats the fun isnt, you cant just flag someone because you suspect it to be the case, Isnt that the whole point? you know to have witnesses and such, so you know they are a criminal but until they slip up...... never mind
Flagging Kerlos the other day that was a crime.
Baendras - Yeah I was guilty I sung sleep in town, its not aggressive and no one went to sleep but I suppose the letter of the law dictates It as an attack - for the record on We come, When you dont see me and the damage songs start a fight, and if you can all summon me to the hidden room when I have no flag I should be able to otherwise inconvenice other citizens.
Lemath - You had a good form set for dealing with me. I felt sick to the core when you had imm assistance in defeating that fiend, I'd sure like to see a log of that seeing as it was powerful one I created, oh well.
Various Thieves whose names I cant spell
I dunno what it was like a thief magnet or something, I couldnt be arsed with you, but if you wanted to help out it was ok Yanorami - I liked you and Twynker the midget brigade
Power word decay for 71 hours be over powered... not really Who can commune deafen? I'd like to know.
Scions : No really challenge there
Fortress I liked Cele and Nhiala
Outlanders I liked Blehtain and Illiza
Empire Blitz you do well, cant believe I never really killed you.
I few comments. I tried to tank almost all the time and did master my defenses around forty fivish perhaps a little later, the character was hand rolled first decent looking 19charisma not to good on the other stats. I almost entirely from Mosha.net http to telnet, I saw alot of the words, trip trip trip and bash bash bash. I was sort of hoping to get booted from battled for using songs I wasnt allowed to use.... That didnt happen due to lack of imm presence, perhaps someone could comment on that - Was it just my badass role? or my bad rp that kept me in the cabal?
It amuses me to see three/four imms in one cabal while none watching over the village. I can see why people loose interest - Burning through 30 deaths is bound to be worthy of some form of last name or title, just from the fame of your corpses. Thats a joke, I'm sure your mudsexing or something
I wish I had been able to log some of my characters life, hell I wish I'd be able to page up and catch half the comments I'd hear just before I typed eq or aff still.
I enjoyed the character immensly, battle bards need acrobatics - they get the ####ty titles as they rang, juggler acrobat dancer - they should get a minor bash avoidance - it just makes sense. I guess it might put them on the over powered list, but they are there already ehheehhe.
I got a lot of critiscm for my dirges and odes and songs, they weren't poems, and they were intended to appear to blood thirsty warriors, to catch people in the spirit of the village, not to be overly aesthetic. Still I dunno, Toontanath had a huge volume of works I wanted to be less irritating with Fhin.
I've Seen courage and Dedication, Strength and honor, but I've no words left now, for I am adrift on a sea of despair.
Epitah Fhinsdry Van Disril
comments etc welcome as per
Cheers
Asa

I think I remember summoning Dilerath to the locked room. The reason for that is that an Outlander was also trying to retrieve with hit and runs at the same time and I didn't want to deal with three of you together when you unghosted. I intended to let him out if the outlander didn't return within 5 minutes or if you or the outlander died again.
When you let him out instead, I used power word decay for similar reason. It was an attempt to take one of you out of the equation for as long as possible, although not as good against a bard as a warrior in that respect. Did the power word decay kill you? I've always wondered if it can, or if it is different from a certain commune.
The deafening thing is not a commune. I'll leave it at that.

Buh I didnt let him out, some one else did.
The power word decay didnt kill me I suppose it could given low enough con... it was just a really long tick timer.
The deafen thing was Affect Commune 'Deafen' 10 hours.
Which took me out of the equation for 10 hours, I missed the fiend on you all by 1 hour as the youngsters struck a little earlier than anticipated, think I might have been able to finish the captain at that time. We retreived in the end any way despite your fiendish antics and two to one odds.

Bunch of people have said that getting into the village after this "purge" has been a problem. Multiple quality characters have deleted with over 100 hours which probably would have fed the village some skill. Problem is, once they get declined, they move on - add in that the village is getting beaten lately pretty bad, and it's a problem. I can name offhand about 3-4 warriors stuck in the late 20s with no luck right now.
Hopefully some of the Battle imms will actually make an effort and induct some - think I've seen Sabiene more than any, too bad she won't induct much. Maybe the solution is that Jinroh steps down for the time - who knows. Just trying to find a solution...
And battle bards need no upgrades, if you were having a problem with them then you need to consider your tactics. Despite the fact that my weapons and armor are in desperate need of repair, I blow the entire king's reward on Ale and Whores!

In regards to skilled players for starters... Er getting inducted isnt too tough seeing as not so skilled players are getting inducted, right?
In regards to battle being kicked around, thats not true at all, I rarely see anyone raiding the village when there are villagers in it. Seems to me alot of people were logging out if they lost the head, that never happened to me. I'd log on there would be no head and no villagers on... It just made me sick after a while, lack of dedication and conviction in the characters people were playing. Then I'd get the head back and people would start logging in. I've seen a few people posting on the battlefield at a time when they would normally be on the mud, I like to keep track of peoples log in times.
Battle bards - No they dont need an upgrade, I'd quite happily fight six or seven opponents with little difficulty. The site I was playing for didnt allow me to capatalize very often on speed and surprise, as demonstrated on a few occasions where people simply walked up to me and had time to pincer/bash while I'm still waiting for the sing to go through.
Acrobatics just seems like a bard skill is the point I was making.

Seeing as I'm one of the few hero villagers that you didn't mention..
I hated being around you. In fact, I hate being around most of the Village. Whenever I get into a group with other Villagers, things go very very badly for me. I'd rather take on a group of three by myself than have to face down equal odds. I knew I could never count on you to heal if I needed it, so I just largely avoided having to group with you. The one time on the mount is a perfect example of it; with 5 skeletons fighting split between you, myself and Ayik, there was no way that was going to go well unless you did some healing. Maybe you missed the fact there were so many there because you're using telnet. I wouldn't doubt it.
Get another client man. zMud or JMC or something, at the very least for being able to highlight important stuff and scrolling.
I'd wish you luck on your next, but I'm not really feeling so inclined. I guess I'm lacking heart.

I actually hated ranking on the mount, to many things can go wrong. I didnt want to heal I wanted to work on other ####, thats what ranking is about, if you'd of weaponbroke, I know you were trying to make a point but if you'd of weaponbroke we'd of been fine. As for healing, I had little or no mana and was on 5hps with a bleeding nose and alcohol poisoning at the end there. As far as healing in a group, its not terribly effective as a bard - But then you werent terribly effective either, compared to other giant warriors I've seen.
As for client - Er Its no even real telnet - Even with that I'd be more effective, if you ever want to try it out its www.mosha.net and sometimes I'll deal with a client or take a call or something, I'd not give a #### about my characters out come then. Gah I hate when people make me lead ... eheheheheehe so much lag.
As for you lacking heart, yeah it did seem that way to me from what I saw of you. We did have one good fight in the grove that went fairly well. Perhaps it would of gone better if I hadnt of jumped the three of them ten hours before hand in aridhol, I dunno.
Hate the character not the player.

I've not seen you around my playing times for the longest time, but I suspect you might have been having a lot of fun with Adgrizn(whom I saw once) whose time seemed to be quite village filled, with raids on the spire and such, But it was me facing down the spire and staying logged in for six hours, sure I might die once a log in but I'd still retreive the head. I quit twice without the head, that I can recall, and that was to go to the little boys room, as in the past I've seen people raid in and cap my ass at the Big D while I've been taking a ####.
The whole affair over the weaver of doom, made me loose almost all respect for the character, a few acts you made brought it back up on the upswing.
I did enjoy interacting with every villager, I guess I'm just jaded.

Well, I know some things did change.. like you did disappear for awhile, and while you were gone, I changed aligns, lost my weapon specs.. had some role updates/etc..
But overall (up til near about the end when I was getting ganged and killed several times a day) I was still the same Stef I always was.

We never did get to talk about that, but when we'd duel you didnt seem keen to repay the favour of weapons practice I'd granted you. Sort of felt more like you were hoping to kill me - So I just stopped doing it before you had a wee accident. As for the character you stuck to your role well enough, I've seen deadly Spear specs and you seemed to have a go alright, I'd probably of gone berserker myself.

Well, acidic words from a Battle bard. What can I say? My OOC displeasure of some current Villagers shines through in my character (which is a bad thing for me). First of all, I'm not Flaerglum. Having interacted with him as numerous characters, I take that as an insult. Second of all, I was not really pleased with your actions. Gearing for damroll, going for critical hits against warriors.. sometimes I would scream at the monitor in anger at some of your actions. Perhaps this was your first bard. If so, do disregard my previous statements. Other times, you seemed to know exactly what you were doing. Remember though, just because I order you around does not make me/Ayik an asshole
What many don't understand about my character.. will have to find out in game. Good luck with the next.

1. Gearing for Dam roll - Are you smoking crack? I had a natural strength of 17 and the highest dam I had was 28 or something with we come - Sure I might pick up a few dammy pieces on the reequip so I can damage the things I need to kill to get other gear.
2. Sometimes you seemed to know exactly what you were doing - I did know exactly what I was doing all the time, I was playing the character for my enjoyment - 100% of the time I'd of been better in every circumstance using zmud - Sadly I am still homeless and have no internet connection so I cant even use my bad ass pc I have to use a pos at work.
3. Critical hit against warriors - Perhaps I could trip them? No they would be flying, Roundhouse then? No thats next to useless. Critical hit AHHAHA I can get off one massacre/dismember every two rounds - If they have giant resistance/sanc/stoneskin thats the way to go.
4. I was never allowed to use my damage songs, fiend, fire and ice, Wild west wind. - I cheated and used them in the end- OH MY did my effectiveness just spiral suddenly I wasnt a useless meat shield any more, but every day was spent wondering when I was going to get booted and or loose sing etc etc - So I wanted to have my weapons mastered - Deleted with a sung wood staff trying to master pugil - maybe that'd make a diffrence
5. I spoke to Jinroh he didnt know anything about you 'taking command of the scouts' I'm only saying this now because I see you have deleted. In the one instance where you joined my raid - You ####ed it up by striking to quickly, then you ####ed it up by calling the retreat when all our foes were scattered and we were on the archmage -I'd a full mind of mana and was still singing heal when you retreated - Vargal pulled out because he followed you orders, and Stef died because she didnt know she could fight Balrain. In general you character was a solid solo fighter but never quite seemed to inspire command.
It was my second bard - My first bard was at rank ... 44 or so and was never inducted into battle I think he died once his whole life.. due to stupid practice places. I had a client and broadband for him, ah how sweet life was.

No disrespect but how could would it to be a thief in battle? Who's role was to be a sapper? Right Right, and instead of using gay poison tactics set up sick as #### traps outside the village to catch people leaving after raids and stuff, and could just steal the head back if they lost it. Oh man that'd be sweet.
Flaerglum was an ok stand alone character but sucked at leadership ala Ayik - If you too are not one and the same sorry.

Man, that's a lot of vitriol for one post.
I didn't have any problems with you at all, I thought you were a perfectly serviceable bard. But then, I didn't change my tactics based on who I was with, so I didn't really count on you for much -- anything you could provide was a huge bonus. So I can't say I have the beef with you that others seem to.
On the personal side, I liked talking to you and joking around. I thought Fhinsdry was a good character.

You and Olofo seemed to both have your head screwed on straight. And any bard that is in battle that gets all of his songs must be doing something right. You were a dedicated villager, but I must say, I cannot believe how many times you got killed, especially when you had all your songs. A battle bard is probably the toughest mojo around. I guess dying is part of the package, but I still didn't understand how you died so much. Good luck with your next and keep trucking, know that you were always a boon to the village when you are were around.

The time I flagged and killed you in Galadon, were you guilty or not? Another tribunal claimed to have seen you singing hostile area effect songs in Galadon, but I always had a feeling ooc that they might be lying.
Dropping your gear for you at the entrace to the Spire was not a trick to make you break the treaty. I didn't know you were a villager. It was just that I didn't have the time to give it to you personally, and I had no inclination to carry it out to you after your complaints.
