Our cable runs through an Empty lot. Squirrels and rats ate through it.
I don't have much data on cell plan, so I was without internet for a couple months, and my characters all died.

Morihyama was an experiment in many ways for me. First time going the 13, first true attempt at trying to age die a character, first time going into a character with the intention of having in character interactions shape how this character grows....first time trying to really be friendly to every character he ever came across....and first time actively trying to give people an in character chance to share their own character's story.

I rolled to go Trib. But my first interaction with my God changed that. And that was cool. I finished the task given to me, but never again linked up with him in Character to turn it in.

I think there were some players that enjoyed the opportunity to share their character's motivations, so at least I helped a few people have fun.

Given that I was going to keep this character around till age death, I didn't feel much urgency....so I rolled another character to get my Trib fix in...keeping Morihyama going enough to still be around until I could link up with morihyama's imm.

I've won 4 or 5 role contests in the past, and been honorable mention in a couple....

And this was perhaps the role I thought had the most potential out of all of them, which is funny because this role never got a mention in the couple role contests it ran in...That must mean that the level of competition has gone WAY up! This can only be good for cf's rp experience!

.... So I'm utterly gutted that I lost all of my characters. Now that I have internet back, I'm struggling to gather the gumption to get into another character. I had invested SOOO much into Morihyama and Yakarlaeg...and I didn't get to even get into the middle game of either of those characters....I still only want to play them...and they are gone.

I did have a nebulous plan to wait till I'd been old age for a couple hours, then go evil and frantically search for the time travel spell....I think that would have been fun.

role + I am old. I have lived for 500 years already, following this path
role + of what I used to call self-apostasy. I wish to record the first
role + instance of my realizing the depth of my own hubris, and started to
role + take steps to overcome it. Some day, I may write about my first contact
role + with a God, if I have time.

role + So Whiysdan tasked me with finding Bread. And made sure everyone who saw
role + me knew that I was not to be known as some stern and self-important savior
role + from the Light.

role + I'm not sure I ever thanked him for that before all that happened later.

role + At the time, I fashioned myself as the utterly pretensious "The thirteenth
role + Bastard" that my mother had called me in my youth. And myself had called
role + me when I burned myself and killed myself.

role + It was after some time of seeking for Bread...as I specifically attempted
role + to gather the stories of the most interesting people around me, that I
role + instead decided I should be known as something less...hoity. And alot less

role + I decided to be known as "without ancestors" in a language myself had
role + learned at some point during one of my incarnations. Sosen Nashi. So
role + that I could tell everyone who knew me my deep shame...without telling

role + Oh, the stories I gathered in those days. A Paladin who wanted to own a
role + Brothel, an arial thief who was losing her soul after being forced to
role + murder her dad (I enjoyed that story far too much. I still find myself
role + smiling at my memories of it.)

role + A Dreadlord who thought he was a nihilist, though he didn't realize he
role + wasn't. A Druid who was given completely over to the dark had a story I
role + desperately wanted, but I could not convince them to part with it.

role + I also spent time wandering. Seeking out the source of the wonderful
role + alcohol my God had addicted me to...maliciously I am sure... while
role + pretending I was just looking for the bread he had tasked me to find.

role + I spent long hours in Hillcrest and Blidgenstone, practicing not stepping
role + on small creatures, as Whiysdan had chosen to show himself to me in such a
role + diminutive form, probably in a lesson I was too stupid to get back then.

role + It may shock anyone who knows me now, but at that early time in my life, I
role + had not yet completely determined IF...let alone how... political action
role + would fit into my desire to stand as a beacon of Light to the World.
role + How best to live a life that all would see as Courageous and filled with
role + Light.

role + After my God got me drunk and tricked me into promissing not to go
role + Tribunal (I thanked him for that later) I was briefly attracted to a life
role + in the Inn...

role + It sure would afford me access to all of the stories of others that I
role + would want.

role + But, I had an itchy rear end whenever I sat too long. And I feared that
role + that life would limit my abilities to go out and make stories all of my
role + own.

role + And, for some time, I thought it would be most courageous to stay
role + politically unaffiliated. The Fortress, looking from the outside at
role + least, being so strong.

role + I had no clue what kind of dark stories were going on in there at that
role + point in my young life.

role + That is when I noticed the Leaders of the Fortress stop being Leaders. I
role + heard of a war with the Outlanders, of all people....I heard rumors of
role + something with the shadow realm.

role + These rumors and whispers...yes they made me sad for them...but they
role + intrigued me none the less. And with the Empire seeming to grow into an
role + ascendancy...

role + I started to wonder if, attempting to get a spot in the Fortress might be
role + the most courageous path ahead of me.

role + I was much more learned, if still young, than almost anyone who first
role + pledges a cause, and that would be a barrier...

role + They now had no leaders...and that would be a barrier...

role + And now they faced not only the ascendancy of the Empire, but harrasement
role + from the Tree as well...

role + What could be more courageous than choosing to throw my gauntlet into that
role + sausage grinder?

role + And so...having no clue what was going to come that would shape me for all
role + time after... I resolved to stop daudling, finish my task for Whiysdan,
role + and ask for his advice on my sudden political asperations.

Our interactions were great fodder for growing my character, and changing his direction, which is what I was looking for with this character.

I had finished the task long before heroing, and I had begun to find more than the 13, so I could replace the ones that didn't look appetizing. But sometimes people just can't link up.

Loved the Virtue. Thanks for that. Didn't expect any of them until later.

The majority of my playtime on this character, I played
on my small s7 edge cell phone (even at home, on wifi)

If I seemed slow to respond, or slow with my emotes, Or really slow in pk, it was because playing with a touch screen is hard!


Storm Pole paladin made pk with this char on my phone ...well...more than possible. (at least, surviving pk)

I loved being able to be jumped by various enemy air forms who killed lots of people...and be calm enough to type out on my touch screen "You are doing well, good job!" And still not worry about dieing.

If only my foes knew I was on my phone, I could set it up for some basic pk situations...but if you had changed tactics, there was no way I could react in time.

I think the only people that got me were the ones that slept me. This char I don't think made one sleep saving throw...
