#14, "New Tribunal power: Deputize"

Syntax: DEPUTIZE <player>

While on duty within their protected cities members of the Blood Tribunal can deputize orderly citizens in order to assist them in bringing criminals to Justice. As the Tribunal advances within its guild, they can deputize more and more citizens.

A person will be deputized for 24 hours, or until they or the member of the Tribunal who deputzied them leaves the protected city. Deputies are easily recognized by their title (e.g. Deputy of Galadon).

I thought about something like this just yesterday and how helpful it would be. A question of it though if Im reading into it correctly. Before the deputy had to be at your side and so forth when fighting apprehending a criminal. Is it the same now or do they have more freedom. Nice job nonetheless..

Also..

It's been something that they've needed for quite awhile in my opinion.

Yes, the Tribunal rules stated this quite clearly.

The Tribunal and the Deputy have much more freedom, in that they don't have to be attached at the hip, but are still easily identified. They also have much more responsibility, allowing for more problems in some cases, and less problems in others. I'm interested to see how well it works out.

Thanks.

Would you consider it acceptable for an evil trib to deputise someone and then step out of town just before the deputy attacks (thus undeputising him) and then making the ex-deputy wanted for attacking in town?

If not, you might want to put a 2 tick timer from after the trib walks out of town before the undeputising occurs.

If you are deputized, and not running around with the tribunal who deputized you, yes, I could see the above happening. It's a risk you take by being a deputy. What is easily given, is easily taken away.

We'll see how it works as designed for a bit before making any changes.
