You are viewing a read-only archive of the Carrion Fields discussion forums built from a snapshot of the forum database on 2026-08-25. The search page works, though it is not as sophisticated as the old forum search.
This archive encompasses approximately 25 years of CF discussion. Today, that discussion continues on Discord (see the main website for a link).
Some of the special-purpose forums are listed below along with their replacements (as of writing):
The Battlefield: all deaths and deletions are now automatically published to Discord (link on the main website)
Premium Battlefield: PBFs, both old and new, are published on the main website
Bug Submissions: on the main website, click "Bug Board"
Code Changes: code changes (not bug fixes) are documented on Discord
I wonder, if you are a goodie Outlander, is it a bad idea to request from Paladins and guard mobs? Things like that. And if its not ok, is it ok to just kill them?
There is always a thin line between alignment and beliefs. Outlander is required to kill palys, not because they are good but they are opposite of what your beliefs are.
Is a good tribunal right in killing a wanted maran paladin? Yet again beliefs will be challenged. It's a matter of what is important to you. Put in your role about what you will when such situations occur.
Anyway Outlanders have paladins for desserts. Get the drift?
Outlanders are only required to kill Imperials and Tribs. Period.
The listed classes and races are, however "untrustworthy". They *may* be loathed, but they might (as in the case of a goodie Outlander and a paladin), just have a little wariness.
As such, requesting from a paladin would probably not be a good idea. Use your judgement as to whether it would be justifiable to kill the paladin or not. So, it might be justifiable to kill a paladin who is in a cityguard type role, but not for a paladin wandering around in the wild somewhere (though you still shouldn't trust him.)
