Really, whether to continue with your character or not, is entirely up to you. While I do occasionally boot cabal members who never play, it's rare, usually close to autodeletion anyways, and limited to characters I highly suspect just exist to "peek in" on the cabal.

Whether you continue with the character or not should depend on how you are *feeling* about the character. If you are feeling apathy and disinterest, I'd recommend deleting, or letting yourself autodelete. If you are still having a lot of fun and enjoying the character, it makes sense to continue, even if you can only play a few hours a week.

I understand first-hand the dilemna of having RL responsibilities that can make it difficult to play. I enjoy playing mortals as well, but unfortunately, my RL situation makes it very difficult. Personally, I have found that it is all but impossible for me to play caballed/significant mortals, because of how easily it is to get 'sucked in' to long play times due to raids, intense conflict, or IC responsibilities. Because of this, I have found that on the rare occasions I do play mortals (and I do try to do so every so often), my situation lends itself better to uncaballed mortals. Honestly, they can be just as much fun, and naturally there is less expectation and judgement if you don't play much, play for short periods, have sudden logout times, etc. You might come to a similar conclusion as well, or you might not. I would say that if you are finding cabal life difficult to fit into your real life, you might consider that playing uncaballed is more compatible to your schedule. If you decide this, creating an IC reason to request uninduction is a very viable option for you as well (and you could even remain on good terms with the cabal in this particular situation - this isn't Empire or something - the cabal does value freedom.)

Just to be clear, I'm not suggesting you leave the cabal. Just sharing my thoughts. Again, it's entirely up to you.

Regarding your prayers, you can feel free to pray in whatever IC appropriate way you wish, so long as it's selective and with purpose.
From your character's perspective, the "mechanics" of your "deity" are irrelevant. Since you do not have an existing deity, though, this would be purely for RP with the divine - there's no tattoo or anything of that nature to aquire, and few players out there are going to listen to preaching or teaching on a deity that isn't in the active pantheon. (Though you can still try!)
