You are viewing a read-only archive of the Carrion Fields discussion forums built from a snapshot of the forum database on 2026-08-25. The search page works, though it is not as sophisticated as the old forum search. This archive encompasses approximately 25 years of CF discussion. Today, that discussion continues on Discord (see the main website for a link).

Some of the special-purpose forums are listed below along with their replacements (as of writing):

#9007, "bearcharge"

I posted a log to the ranger board about this but have not seen a response and now logs with other points of view are posted on Dioxides log board which may help you folks out with answering this.

The problem simply put is that bearcharging on mountaineers home terrain had no lagging effect at all and both points of view of the logs show that clearly.

Both characters were the same size (Erigeron was a wood-elf, Skiltore a human). Erigeron was fairly light (just under half max wt) but my impression was that size mattered for bearcharge, not weight.

It won't affect Erigeron (he's deleted) but it does seem buggy.

Thanks.

What's not being said here and is the key is Erigeron's other specialization choice (hunter), which makes his bearcharge (relatively) great for dealing damage and terrible for command denial.
