You are viewing a read-only archive of the Carrion Fields discussion forums built from a snapshot of the forum database on 2026-08-25. The search page works, though it is not as sophisticated as the old forum search. This archive encompasses approximately 25 years of CF discussion. Today, that discussion continues on Discord (see the main website for a link).

SNIPPED
Please review the above log if you have time, the success rate of ricochet skin on a form without any sort of protective hide (cheetah) is pretty nuts. There could very well be factors I don't know about but just in case something happened with recent changes to ricochet skin I wanted to submit for review.

So, here's the tale.

I noticed ricochet wasn't being called right, so I fixed that.
I didn't actually check the variable/math as it was set up before that.
The original math was bad and was calling a value which wasn't 0. Meaning forms like cheetah, which dodge well, were having dodge counted INTO deflections. So they were basically deflecting at their dodge rate.

Now deflection will property restart at 0, and count up from there.

Should be good now, but let me know if it gets funky.
