Won't work against storm giants? Is this a drowning damage? The echo normally is a strangle type affect.

It's not drowning, so it's likely the particular storm giant you're fighting has another immunity in play. There's nothing unusual about how Reanimate deals damage, so I'm not suspecting a bug.
