If you feel that you cannot handle the duties of a leader, step down and give room for a candidate that can better handle the applicants. Or you could send Imms a note that explains your situation and say that you are willing to step down if the Immortals have a candidate that can better handle things. If they do not have a candidate and choose not to demote you, keep going as you can. Whatever is in the best interest of the cabal. But do keep the Imms informed about your situation so that they can better keep track of it. If you keep the Imms informed, the responsibility of the cabal is in their hands and you don't have to worry about it.

If playing the character is no longer fun, delete. I suggest that you make the decision whether or not you should delete after your travel and not delete just because your character is going to have a break.
